Both those videos are awesome. :tmb:

It only works in the case of that video because it's Lara and a whole lot of empty game space. The moment you add in all the guns and explosions and shouting, what Tomb Raider is now about, that music from TR1 and the feeling it purveys gets thrown out the window. Anyway, in other news I played TR9 again over the last day, finally got that retarded Feather Duster achievement. That's all the single-player achievements done & dusted, never need to play the game again. |
Today I replayed Tomb Raider and noticed it! sorry for the bad quality I played on the PS3

Is that Whitman?
|
That's definitely Whitman...stood on a rock for some reason. I've no idea what part of the game that is though.

it's the beach, a place near the galleon. After I found the weights I have seen on the rock Whitman:D

So ....anything about the sales ???
|
Quote:

we need some sale figures .....or at least a last number....the game is out 4 months ago...I hope it reached 5 millions by now :o

And even those figures were not really an indication of how well the game sold, since it never included digital sales. |
Anyone the same with this......
I'm fine with the dialogue in gameplay, I really like Lara giving words of knowledge and pushing herself to do something. But in cutscenes I just don't feel immersed when Lara is talking. Its either picturing Camilla saying the lines or the cutscenes are so bland and animations so ugly that I just do not like watching or hearing Lara in cutscenes. I'm torn if it's knowing Camilla is doing the voice or its just the bad cutscenes. Because thinking about it i've seen lots of interviews with TLoU cast and didn't picture them or think of them at all during the game. So maybe its just the cutscenes. I thought at first maybe they over exposed Camilla as Lara during promotion. I like Camillas voice, but either the script or the way it comes out of Lara's ugly textured, badly synced mouth makes me not like it. |
How tall is Lara in this game? I've seen 5'2" and i've also see 5'8".

Look at the hand animated face on Ellie's at 3:19. I've never seen a more realistic yawn tbqfh :o And then look at the scene in this video at 5:58. Jonahs mouth looks like its just going up and down like a ps2 game would do. Everything up close doesn't look as good when playing gameplay. I frickin love Tomb Raider, the cutscenes were my only problem (and some characters). I enjoy LAU cutscenes more. And I know they are 2 different game companies with different engines but the devs emphasized so much how this mo cap thing was this new genius thing that's going to make us more immersed in the story. That's why I prefer pre rendered cutscenes to in-game cutscenes. Even if the graphics look superb, and even if its more time consuming to create pre rendered cutscenes, the final outcome is more satisfying in the end |
Am I the only one who is still waiting for more SP DLC? ;-;

@valentino, I thought TLoU was motion captured as well? |
^It was, but Naughty Dog hand animate facial expressions.

UG. Stop. Remember when the pre-order DLC was described as a map of "tricky" jumps or something... :( But it was just a cover up. That sounded soo good. |

Oh, I see. Well yeah, then the facial expressions are impressive.
On a different note, Rhianna Pratchett tweeted that her boyfriend surprised her while they were at the cinema. Apparently they were watching a cartoon short which Rhianna thought seemed eerily familiar - with good reason, it was a short about their relationship, which ended with a question. I'm gonna assume it was a marriage proposal as she tweets she said 'yes'. How cute is that? :eek: :hug:. |

And yeah, the facial and body animations in TR are just pathetic, lol. Like you said, something out of a PS2 game. It didn't stop me from being drawn into the story or anything, though. That was all down to the writing for me. :p And also, yes, LAU facial animations were WAAAAAY better. Quote:
But yeah, a big congrats to those two, hehe. :D |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA8Xg...ature=youtu.be Pretty awesome he did that for her though. :D [/not quite off topic as it's still loosely TR related, sort of :pi:] |

Took a picture of my bad bitches;
http://31.media.tumblr.com/3ef5d6fc1...h5nzo1_500.jpg (But please, ignore the TRU lara one, she's a bad bitch the bad way) And somehow Hatsune Miku managed to sneak into the picture! I really enjoy the Collectors Edition Lara, She's my most priced Lara figurine <3 |
for some reason in the pc version of the reboot the facial animations arent bad at all

Stella tweted this pic: https://o.twimg.com/2/proxy.jpg?t=HB...SkhDtsvOahpGxA. Anyone else seeing a resemblance toward TR'13 Lara? I mean a sort of older more hardened version?
|
Yeah ,, her face resembles Lara's face on the cover of Game Informer ...
|
well i dont know but i have this impression whenever i play the game with full graphics :D....in ps3 i thought they were worse...
