I think that the Crofts are people of great abilities and that they are considered really powerful (not in terms of strength) people or something like that, therefore Lara's not sure is she can pull this out because she has never "proven herself worthy" before, meaning that she was a daddy's/mummy's girl before university or something similar :p .
