To me I get this feeling or vision of multiplayer be unveiled in that weird space after E3 where there are these video game conventions I can never remember the names of.

Uncharted 2 multiplayer was revealed in April 09 it seems, I'm not sure when the game released though.

That would of meant it was announced 6 months before release.

If CD want the game to release in late March or April then they would give us a Spring 2013 release date. Crysis 3 also gets a Spring 2013 release date.
Spring 2013 = March 20 - June 20

Yes and two demo videos. One is 10 minutes and the other is about 15 minutes. And the were both released quite some time ago. :p

Infinite has tons of media released in comparison to Tomb Raider.

I don't think there will be a TR trailer before E3. GTTV every day tweets to tune their channel on June 4 on E3 day 1.

I know. It's painfully obvious. They mention new trailers and show Lara's face right as they say it. But you never know, CD could have asked them not to show it because of the delay. Dunno why they'd do that though, since it would just build hype for TR at E3.

Since there hasn't been advertisement for TR since E3 last year (for the most part), not many people are going to be expecting TR at E3 except for the fans.

If they dont reveal a trailer on 31st May they should show a teaser or something like they did last year with the two pics from the trailer so they can easily build up the hype...
I expected a delay but I didnt like the way cd announced it... We were waiting for something new for a long time period and they showed us a screenshot so we don't get too much frustrated.. They could show us a screenshot like this ages ago.. It just doesn't feel right...

They were probably waiting to see how the competition was lining up before deciding on a release date. So ages ago they would not have known it was going to take even longer. And ages ago the screenshot would have looked no where near as good.

Perhaps deers are more useful than it seems at first.

Lara has appeared on quite a few magazine covers since last years E3, as well as in numerous magazine articles, developer interviews, online previews and all those community things Meagan keeps organising. Considering they told us last year they would be showing more at this years E3, I would think just about every gamer on the planet will know Tomb Raider is going to be at E3 this year. It is only some Tomb Raider fans that have selective memory problems.

From the way she runs in the cavern demo it seems like she has a sense of weight.

I'm fairly optimistic that the trailer will be shown then. Definitely ready for seeing it whether on the 31st or in June.

It will just be that same statement that came with the screenshot, but in different words. Or even the same words, lol. If there truly was an 'engine problem' (or whatever that rumour said) or they just don't want to go head-to-head with giants like CoD and Ass Creed, will they say so? Of course not.

Might they lose more money keeping the game in studio for so long than having COD and Ass steal their sales?

I doubt that's the reason it's delayed. I think they just...have stuff to work out and need more time.

I don't see how it would be wise, since people can only spend their money once and they will have done so when the holiday season is over.

I'm reckon Crystal is up to its elbows in bugs and problems with their wonderful new engine that they haven't got a clue about. Swimming (or lack of) was an indication. In this day & age, how hard is that to implement? I've been enjoying swimming in games since Mario Bros.

I actually fear that you may be right :o *shrugs* :(. The latests screenshot looks OK for a pre-reboot Tomb Raider game, but they have claimed that they are going after realism this time around, yet Lara's position in the screen looks totally unrealistic and uncomfortable at best, also the trees are too low quality for my taste. I will probably change my mind once I see the game in action, but seeing how underdeveloped the game still feels I am more than happy with the delay :).

edit:Also Carbonek stop poking at my posts, I am free to express my opinion. With or without my glasses the game still looks like it's far from being finished.
