It's still worth watching though. This blurry short video is (at least for me) one of the best footage so far.

Lawl neither me. I just don't play anything atm. Oh I was playing some Black Ops online coop yesterday and a bit of ACBrotherhood. Not enjoying the games now tho. I'd try LAU, but I can't force myself to play any of those. They're a no no now for some reason :D

I feel exactly the same! Oh bother :(. I wanted to play Bloodrayne II again, but I gave up. I wish so badly to play something similar to keep me occupied. This just comes to show how original this new Tomb Raider game is :D. I mean sure it borrows elements from various movies and games, but there isn't currently anything out there resembling it. Also I do not feel like replaying any of the older games, especially the Crystal's trilogy. It feels so reductive now lol :p.

Okay, so I watched it. It's just some dude (or dudette) running about like a loon. And everything looked flat because of the vaguely nauseous camera angle.

Seeing as we can chase and clearly catch up with the deer, I hope we can kick it to death. If she's got a load of stupid melee rubbish to take on humans, I better be able to stick my boot into the ribs of the indigenous wildlife as well. I bet they don't let you do that though. It's all perfectly fine to have Lara touched up against her will, but kicking a deer? That's crossing a line.

I guess the only new game sort of resembling the new Tomb Raider in terms of gameplay is Batman Arkham City.

Exactly :p Well, I was replaying the classics not that long ago, so I had enough of Tomb Raider. But damn, this new game...I feel it's special :cln:

If there's gonna be hand to hand combat and other melee crap, I bet we'll be able to kill (at least) the wolves that way. Not sure about the deers, but why not. Someone who played the game at CC or GC said the deers can attack and hurt Lara. She should be able to do the same.
And now admit the footage was woth watching! :p

I'm going to be running around like an idiot in that area on my first play. I will run and jump and run and stay in the area deliberately avoiding going back to camp. And then I'll do the same before I get to the next bit. Running around like an idiot is fun :ohn:

Yes, that is the perfect word to describe how I feel about this game. I do not even care if the story is good or not, it just looks so mysterious and adventurous lol.

What really makes me excited is the fact, that we haven't seen a lot from the game. All we've seen so far was basicaly just the beginning of the game. The first hour maybe? Oh my God, just imagine what other areas and hubs are there! :'D The forest is beautiful, the cavern is beautiful too. There must be more! I seriously can't wait to get into the old Japanese village with the fallen pagodas and explore every one of them! I'll be jumping, running, and screaming like an idiot! :vlol:

I swear I will take my time with this game. Oh my, it has been such a long wait, and that reminds me, we still have to wait a bit more.

This talk got me all excited again! It's going to be worse when we are going to be like a month or a week away from the release!

I hope we see something exciting soon that really will sell the game. In my opinion the December 2010 announcement was too early and then the silence period seemed to make it fade into Oblivion another one could be hazardous as new games make the market. Here's hoping CD pull out something spectacular soon. The game looks great but there are a lot of big titles coming up that look promising too. :o

I kind of agree. Like I was saying yesterday, it's the opposite of what they did with Underworld, which is a good thing. But it's frustrating as well because what we have seen has been so samey and seemingly linear. I'd would've happily sacrificed half an hour of that footage for ten minutes of 'free' gameplay where Lara's doing some proper exploring/traversal.

It was just someone running about in that forest area near the first base camp. Nothing to write home about really.

I have to agree with this. I don't understand why they showed us the first kill instead of exploring some area. In the combat demo, when she slides the rope, there's an area on her right side, which looked pretty explorable and Jay also said, you can explore that area. That would be more exciting than to see the cinematic first kill. Oh well.

Wonder when the second episode of Final Hours will come out I like that they are doing them this time it's kinda like the Gametap documentary they did for TRA! :D

Someone said it's going to be about the story or something. Rhianna is somehow involved in the second FH. And it should be out by now...
