GURL, spill the deets! |
It was in the last podcast... or maybe the previous podcast.... Yes, I believe it was #14. Or maybe it was in an interview, but I swear I heard those words. :D

When you first arrive in an area, it will be contextual weather and day/night cycle, etc. However, if you choose to fast travel through the base camps and revisit a location, it will be random. For instance, the night hub is going to be nighttime and rainy when we first visit it, but upon revisiting the hub, it may be day time, or evening, etc. :D |
They said that you could revisit different locations at a different time of day with different weather. That was pretty much the extent of it. The term "cycle" or "random" wasn't used I don't believe and they kind of do contradict each other. :p
I could be wrong though. I mean we already know its supposed to be different upon revisits and have known this for quite a while. |

I'm sure its contextual. They said something to the effect of you go through this big ordeal and wake up to a new day or something. I don't even know. But I'm like 85.987% sure there won't be a true day/night cycle. :p

^ Yep, I remember those answers, however, this was some time ago. Now she doesn't need to hunt for food in order to survie, it's just for fun and you gain XP's. No more, no less.
|
Odd. :/
Maybe water is the same thing as hunting now, I would assume you get the water from the well. I wonder if it will be introduced as a story mission and then just left optional. |

Whaaat. I just remember Lukass was talking about the food and I couldn't find it then (myself) and now I see it.
It really does make it sound as though it was going to be a necessary mechanic. I kind of wish it was. I wonder if maybe it would become necessary in a harder mode? Hmmm... :/ |

I doubt there'll be a day/night cycle to be honest. Possibly, they intended for it to be in the game, since it's in that Podcast, but said Podcast is also quite old already. I believe there might be different versions of hubs (such as morning, day, night, dry weather or rain), but I don't see a cycle happening, because it could interfere with the way the weather works contextually.
I'm not really heartbroken over this tbh. I'll be more than happy if we can see hubs at different points in time. Day/night cycle could interfere with the storytelling, so unless they can make that work, I think it'd be best to leave it out. |
Nothing, but doubts. Lul

How can there be an ongoing day/night cycle if the game is supposedly only set over four days?

It isn't set over 4 days :vlol:
I think only the beginning leading up to the night hub is. |

You should see a psychiatrist about that pathological lying.

I didn't pluck the number out of thin air just for fun, Karl or someone definitely made a reference to it. You're the swatty TR9 book worm, go, find the article  |
Well we've heard the term "day 4" used.

^^I'd say definitely considering it's night the first time she gets to the first base-camp and night again by the time she kills creepy Russian guy.
