LOL no, it's the patch that PS3 users got few days ago.

It's finally trickled through on to 360 has it? About time. At least this means PS3 owners no longer have any grounds whatsoever to claim any kind of 360 preference. They had that patch last Friday. Clearly Crystal loves Sony and despises MS.

Just finished the game now. No bosses... disappointed :/ well, there was that big Oni dude but I killed him after like 2 minutes...

Yeah, I don't count that Oni guard as a boss either, it's just an elongated fight, didn't feel boss-like at all. And the less said about the Matthias/Himiko "confrontation" the better. Bit of a disappointing climax really :pi:

As much as I love boss fights, I just don't think it would have worked for this game.

The giant oni clearly qualifies as a boss imo. It's a unique encounter not present anywhere else.

A straightforward combat boss, I agree, I think it would've quickly got dull. But they could've mixed it with some traversal and maybe a few of their elemental puzzles. That could've been quite good :tmb:

^Yeah, I agree, an added puzzle element in there would have made it a lot more interesting. The Oni boss just felt like a regular fight as it was only with a much bigger enemy.

Yes it does. But somehow it felt too much like that Yeti creature in Underworld. Making it not unique at all. =p
A boss, as such as Himiko, electricity is her trademark, would have been, by far, a better end boss to battle.

I prefer bosses where you actually need to figure out the way to kill them. Not just pump a bunch of lead into them and a quicktime event or something. I mean, with this game's new physics engine they could've done something better, maybe with fire or something.

I was thinking about pulling fire lanterns that were hanging about with the rope pull to make them swing to her celestial body. That would still have made better TR game play then this cinematic ending.

I don't consider the Oni a boss either. As many have said a puzzle type boss where you have to figure out how to kill would have been appreciated. Maybe even something as Underworld's fight with Natla? Either way the lack of bosses doesn't concern me. The lack of puzzles on the other hand does.

Do you know what I was just thinking about? That TR2 will most likely be even better than the reboot. There is a pattern that can be seen in a lot of games, where the second game is usually better/more loved by the fans than the first one: Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Tomb Raider 2.. It's probably just a coincidence, though, but it's still interesting.

True. That happens becuase they made a good product, they have a feedback and know what people wants but over a positive ground.

That's very true. And the third one, instead of improving, is usually worse than the second, which can't really be topped. Again, I can give the same examples: Uncharted 3, Assassin's Creed 3, Tomb Raider 3.

Just finished the game! One of the things I least expected was the relation between Alex and Lara, poor guy :( ...

I think CD really achieved to do something that no other developer has done during this generation, and I mean the atmosphere they portraited to the game (Actually, some parts felt like RE2, something Capcom has been trying to repeat in the last installments of RE, but just haven't even get close to the perfection of TR's environments)...

I don't know how they did it, but I can adjust the contrast of my computer screen to make the game look more vibrant.

I can't with the dim questions and speculation threads being made since the games release. It was expected of course. But dayum, some of us don't think very well do we.

SweetFX does the job :tmb: it's actually amazing.
