Every minute I play I see a Trinity sign, and it's weird but, did anyone notice that the general has a trinity sign on his belt?! I saw that in MP... So are the Trinity suppose to be decendants of him and the stormguards? Share your thoughts please :)

I was wandering the same thing, they must be a Japanese-mostly organisation since the chopper that came to pick them up had the Japanese flag on it so maybe they are connected with the Stormguard after all, or maybe it's just a coincidence... I don't know...

I first thought that too, but maybe this isn´t the Trinity sign after all. Maybe this is supposed to be a sun. Himikos symbol.

i think it's too complex to symbolize the sun....it fits better with the trinity idea

But since we are finding it everywhere and this is Himikos Kingdom and stormguard, I think it makes more sense, that this is Himikos symbol. The documents said, that Himiko was an enemy of Trinity. It wouldn´t make much sense if their symbol was on everything in the game, even on the armor of her gueardians.

Or is it the same old answer, "they must have taken it out for some reason". And the physics of the necklace. They said there would be physics apart from that one cutscene.

well Trinity could be also an ancient organization that still exists till present day

Well, it does. It's completely connected to what happened before they got into the Island, and it was written by the same people so, meaning it's not on the game doesn't mean it doesn't count. It's really nice to read, and Steph isn't even mentioned as far as I remember.

It can connect to whatever it wants, it still doesn't count though because it's not part of a game (IMO).

It is a common design element on Japanese architecture....i am not sure what it means though, if anything. I would not read too much into it.

this is a photo taken of a building in the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco.

So, I have backstory for the symbol but not actual information as to whether it is Himiko's or the Trinity's.

The symbol is a mon, an emblem used to decorate and identify an individual or family.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamon_(crest)

The specific symbol was also the royal crest of the Ryukyu kingdom. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ry%C5%ABky%C5%AB_Kingdom

Its significance was pretty much Lara's first find. What drove her as a child to further explore the world with her parents, and what later would make her join the expedition I guess. Not too sure about the physics.

here are some other interesting articles on that pattern...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomoe

http://www.aisf.or.jp/~jaanus/deta/t/tomoemon.htm

that pattern is quite common for use on nokimarugawara (round roof end tiles).

Quote:

Another common motif is the swirling tomoe pattern found on tomoegawara 巴瓦 tiles. This image is also found on Chinese roof tiles and is believed to symbolize water as the Chinese character for tomoe 巴 means “whirlpool” or “eddy”. These swirls are thus said to be symbols related to water, and as such are believed to offer protection against the dangers of fire. The basic tomoe style is believed to have originated in China which in turn may have been influenced by other Silk Road cultures (notably the triskeles found on Greek and Eastern Iranian warrior shields; pre-Roman Galicia and pre-Celtic Bronze Age Ireland; bronze discs of the La Tene culture in Romania; coinage of Gaul. The tomoe has been utilized in Japan as warrior shield decorations since at least the Yayoi period (300 BC-300 AD). Other scholars are of the view the tomoe originated as the design on leather clothing or wrist-guards worn by ancient archers (tomo 鞆 thus tomo-e 鞆絵). The use of tomoe motif is well known from the Heian Period, particularly as the warrior-associated kamon heraldic coat of arms (ka means ‘family’ and mon means ‘crest’). The tomoe design also has spiritual connotations and is often found on religious implements and in conjunction with temple and shrine architecture (source: JAANUS).

I wanted to punch the screen, I mean, they were filthy and ugly, therefore they have NO rights to be close to, touch or hit Lara :smk: .

Glad they both died painfully :jmp: !

Its done for loading purposes. That is why Lara slows to a walk and the area is dark between tombs and the main game. It gives the game time to load the rooms and puzzles.

I just finished my 3rd playthrough and am extremely shocked to find that, at the end, during the most perilous (looking) situations in the game, it's impossible to run off an edge! What the ****? Why would CD go out of their own way to stop you from falling? That is beyond ****witted.

LNSNHGTDS 13-04-13 07:07

So, I just realised that I can't download the soundtrack D: (I have the CE) , an error messages comes up every time I try, why is that D: ?
