Swimming would be nice, but I hope swimming doesn't make a come back without a new special mechanic for it. :)
It's time for swimming in Tomb Raider to get updated. |
How will her fire arrows work? :pi:

They can do so much with swimming though. Not only a water segment of the game. Lara has to swim past sensors that can track her, so stealth doesn't work ect. Quote:
CD should of given us a Gold Trophy for killing a butterfly with an Arrow. |

I don't see why Lara has to be emotional when she never was before. Just because she's a woman doesn't mean she can't be hardened and mysterious. |
Oh my gosh, look at this! An Editor's choice score of 9.1 on IGN, and an overall score of "Amazing!". Tomb Raider has never seen this level of praise, ever before.
Did any of the older TRs win E3 awards? |

And maybe some interval until she dries? :whi: |

However, they didn't get that good of reviews back then on press sites. Mostly good, but nothing mind blowing. The original got an 8.5 on Gamespot, and the rest averaged around a 7. IGN did say TRL was the best game in the series when it came out, and that's something I absolutely cannot take seriously. :vlol: |

On my game box for TR1 there are a variety of scores from various press reviewers which were prominant at the time. The scores are 5/5, 93%, 94%, 10/10, 9/10. TR2 has only 1 score on the front (10/10) from a Playstation magazine. So maybe times were already changing... although I seem to remember TR games scoring extremely high until TR4, then the dip began in earnest. Gamespot was founded in May 1996 and IGN in September 1996 - but there were not like they are now. They weren't that significant as reviewers of anything when TR was first released - we were all still reading magazine reviews! |

^I had to dig it out too! Mine are only on the front and they're different reviewers, you must be in a different country from me. :pi:

I usually find TR reviews stupid anyway. I think I've never read or seen a good review to be honest. They are extremely biased most of the time and the people who make them don't even know that the main character is LARA and not LaUra.
|
To me Lara wasn't "emotional", she was genuine. Also no one is born hardened, it's an origin story, it's kind of the point that we see her before she had ever had to face life threatening adversity and to watch her grow tough. And she does, in fact she's tough from the start she just grows to believe in herself.
Not to mention by the end she's actually more like you want her to be. Just look at the way she acts at the beach. Hell just look at the final scene and the final conversation with the guy on the ship, there is your "unemotional" Lara. I for one am glad to be rid of the "teflon" Lara. Nothing about that cliché archetype is interesting or inspiring. New Lara has real human strength and perseverance, not the fluffy kind. |

Why does she say this? We have unlimited ammo in this game. |
I'd like to see Lara go back to this :D
http://resgerendae.files.wordpress.c.../03/tr-art.jpg Doesn't get much more hardcore than that, lol. |
Quote:
It was supposed to make you laugh exactly for the same reason you posted this, it's completely illogical since Lara can't run out of ammo. Quote:
They designed her as a serial killer originally, but she's more of an anti-hero in the final version, not a cold-hearted human monster :vlol: |

He should have been saved by Lara! It would have showed that Lara would do anything to save her friends after Grim's and Roth's death. |
Quote:
They should of killed Sam or Reyes. For shock value anyway. |

All dem other basic bitches can die, but Lara & Sam are flawless, therefore do not die in the place of an ugly geek or an ugly old woman :ohn: ! |
Quote:
If Sam was going to die then would have been too stupid because you are trying to save her ass through the whole game! And It's like the game forces you to fail on saving her. The only deaths that should be there is Grim's death and Roth's too. Alex was a lovable character to kill him. :/ |
I think Reyes dying would've been very touching. She has a daughter and all she wanted is to see her again. You really would feel sorry for her.
On the other hand, everbody loved Alex. --- She will eat your soul! http://imgur.com/a/UglA1#0 |
Yeah I didn't really think about Sam. No, she stays.
Reyes should of been killed or sacrificed herself. The shock that she has a daughter and dies on the island. To keep the cliche's up Reyes should of said 'You're as stubborn as my daughter, I only wanted to protect you' then BAM arrow to the eye. People are probably not going to agree but I wanted Alex to survive and him and Lara to become a couple aha! I felt sad for him that all he wanted to do was impress her and she didn't really notice. |
now that i think of it the death of Mathias wasnt that realistic... Lara shot at him so many bullets and what was the result instead of being dead? he missteped and fell of the edge screaming....
i think that Lara was revengeful at that moment and she liked it in a way otherwise there wasnt any reason to pick up the other gun and shoot him with both of them.... the best thing would have been if Mathias had been lying dead after the shooting with Lara standing above him(with the dual guns...the Lara we know and love) and then simply kick him off the edge... that would have been truly badass... |
