You can see more resemblance in the DE model than the original model. The original model is just an ugly thing that found its way by accident into the game. The DE model was what they truly wanted her to look like. The hair looks identical.
|
I preferred that ugly little thing over this awesome next gen look. Also not sure about the whole "this is what we wanted her to look all along line" they've been floating..
|
Anyone who thinks DE Lara looks like that CGI one are just deluding themselves. The reality is we have 3 Laras for this game - the standard editon in-game Lara, the definitive edition in-game Lara and the CGI model, and they all look completely different from each other. Any resemblence is just made up in a person's head.
Oh, wait, don't tell me - "but the nose, the lips and the eyes! Oh my, they're the same! *fangirl squeal*" Woah, and she looks like AoD Lara too?! And TR3 Lara?! Hold the phone...! Emma Watson as well?!?! Wow, holy crap, this must be some kind of magical face she has! CD have truly done it! :jmp: I'm sure she will look like Lana Del Rey and Lady Gaga in the next game. |
Your sarcasm is really subtle there, Mikky. Peeps will have a hard time deciphering what you're trying to say :tmb: don't hold back or anything ;)
:p :vlol: I'm in the deluded camp. I happen to think the DE version does look a bit more like the CGI/renders models :pi: |

She definitely looks closer to the concept Lara in the DE but still not close enough imo to immediately see and recognize her as concept Lara. They might change her looks again in the next game and claim that that is what they were going for all along, who knows :p

I think hardly anyone noticed this but ..
I found the new religious right lara croft. Lara I've never mention God in his adventures, and suddenly: "I thank God for having placed Roth on my way" "Thank you, God," "Oh God, what is that?" "Oh my god" "Roth's alive, thank God" She mentions both God as to be annoying. Is there any explanation of desenvolvendores about it? Ok, I know it's normal for some people to use phrases like "my god" "thank god". But for Lara, this is not normal, because she never did. |
Not sure but maybe it's sort of catchphrases... even I say it and I'm not a religious kind of person. At least when it comes to certain aspects.

I don't believe in god either and I use My God, Oh God all the time. So don't think that's indicative of her belief.
|
But through her sentences to thank God because she could find a torch or because roth, to me is rather something religious. And I understand that it is people end up talking about "my god", these things, per usual.
Whenever I talk about it people end up mixing with reality, but I'm referring to Lara, she never use it and why it made her talk so much in God? |
I doubt she's religious as she seemed doubtful to anything paranormal or supernatural. I'm atheist and say "oh my god" "thank god" etc all the time.
|
Though now, she's questioning it all. Because apparently spirits do exist.
Do they CD? DO THEY? IS THIS IMPROTANT INFORMATIN? We'll have to wait and see. |
As many say the game has being developed for a long time already. Weird there was no leak yet :p do you want any, guys? :p

I was under the impression that they were waiting to see how this one did before starting a new one. Usually you get those reports that talk about well, they've signed on for four games. Or something like that.
I do know that there is indeed a movie in the works. |
Everyone knows there's a movie in the works.

I thought they were just talking about it. I didn't know they had already gotten started making it.

I adored it before, AND after. :pi:
That being said, I question what the game would have actually been like.... |

^Spot on. :p I honestly don't understand the point of the movie if it tells the exact same story. The game was already cinematic enough...
|
^ My thoughts exactly. Just leave the rebooted franchise to grow as a game series. The last movies did enough damage, what with confusing the movie/game narratives and the blurring together of Angelina Lara and Game Lara (and her mansion, personality etc.).
|
I think it's the perfect opportunity to portray Lara in a more lifelike way than we were able to do previously. I think it would help launch her next career.
But I do see the potential problems as well. |

Although if it doesn't happen, I could really care less it would simply be a surprise if it actually did happen. The movie should come after many games have been established so you have people to see the movie. |
