It was the first big DLC for Rise that released on December 2015. (I had it on my Xbox 360 back then);
It wasn't available at launch but we knew it was coming since they announced the main DLCs when they released the season pass (we knew its name but we didn't know what that was!).

For Shadow it's different, Endurance is not planned and it's not happening...
Maybe they could change their mind and make it, but I think it won't happen.

Thanks. I don't see a reason not to add it. Shadow could benefit from it and can make people launch the game more often. There's nothing else to do in this game besides New Game + and it's kinda the same thing as New Game. They should add back Chapter Replay as well.

Didn't they confirm chapter replay? Or is my mind tricking me? I think I read it somewhere, but maybe I'm just confused lol

Tell me about it!
An Endurance mode in peruvian jungle is my dream :(
They really need to make this happen!

It's coming, but just for the tombs! (Well, technically it's score attack).

I would know if they did! I'm desperate about it :p

Aight lemme just give all y'all my opinion on this amazing game.

I absolutely LOVED it the entire time I played it. I took my time, and spent 24 hours on my first playthrough (didn't even get 100% in that time :p). I really love the story tbh, and the dialogue is so much better in this (DID I MENTION THE VOICE ACTING BTW?!)

Like, the environments are honestly so gorgeous, and the tombs had me super shook throughout the entire game. I really didn't like Paititi very much, but that seems to be a common opinion. The rest of the game though is pure perfection to me. I love the reduced combat (although, there could have been a few more combat encounters), and I also really love the new stealth mechanics. My first playthrough was on Deadly Obsession, so I was pretty tilted a lot :p but I loved it. My only real tripe was dying from the bugginess of it >.> but they seem to have fixed a LOT of this through patches by this point, so I can somewhat forgive them.

I'm really not understanding why people think this is a bad game. I read all the negativity on it, and have to wonder if we've played the same game? This is my favourite TR game ever, tied with TR3. I love it so much, and I really hope they carry this direction forward into future games!

DOPE 24-10-18 15:08

I would have preferred San Juan as the main and biggest hub; I don't know why but I find the visual presentation (if it makes sense) quite pleasing.

I agree, it was definitely my favourite of the hubs in the game and I wish it was the biggest one instead of Paiteetee.

I agree. Everything about it was nice.
It had "urban" part, it had a jungle and it had a water. It's my favorite of the bigger hubs in the game. I loved it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The delusion from some of the members here is astronomical.

When anyone has anything remotely critical to say about the game, or ask genuine questions with concern it seems like others try to drown them out with 'hands-over-ears' aggressive attitudes about how Shadow is so 100/10.

I understand why people get so critical around here, because the delusional optimism is scary. People get more negative to counter act the overt positivity, and people get more positive to counter act the overt negativity. This place - and the feedback for Tomb Raider would be a lot better and more valuable if people were more subjective. My post in that thread wasn't negative, it was simply asking if this really something to call success over just yet, and if so, why?

Then the buzzword of misogyny was brought into it - despite saying that Tomb Raider deserves better in general. This place is whack.

This is exactly what I just emailed to the forum creator. I am done seeing these people acting this way. I've never seen the forum being this toxic in years.

I mean the same apply to those who are extremely jaded on all subject related to Tomb Raider. Both sides are extremely toxic. I so understand why we no longer see biscuits around, and I'm sad we lose these members just because some people believe they have the greater truth.

Anyways, there are just no other words to describe this situation.

100% this. I'm still really sad about there only being 1 main mission there. Wasted potential tbh.

Orimus 24-10-18 15:19

I rather liked Paititi though I will definitely admit that they needed to do a little more to integrate it into the game. Whereas the main path through Paititi was well done imo the hub itself and most of the side quests seemed separated from the rest of the game. (was expecting to have to at least avoid the Jaguar Warriors to avoid trouble) Not sure if it was a result of having to amend production to stay on target with their deadline or just being overly proud of the hub.

That being said I do thing San Juan was the most polished of the three hubs.

Hopefully they'll expand on it with DLC.

This. Somehow it felt like it had the most history and the most interesting design. By far my favourite location in the game.

Yeah this is exactly what I don't like about Paititi - it feels like they built it first, and then created the entirety of the rest of the game around it. It feels really forced, and the story slows down a lot there imo.

Me too. I have no doubts that they will though, since there are 7 coming and they're placed into the game somewhere.

My bet is 2 tombs in San Juan, 2 in Kuwaq yaku and 3 in Paititi (but I still hope that one of them is Croft Manor, even if it's unlikely).

Ahmier 24-10-18 15:57

No tombs in Paititi. They donít deserve any gifts. I found out Paititi is the reason I canít really replay this fantastic game. Not too jump on the train of others but honestly it feels like wasted potential.

Any other hub Iíll be happy to uncover a dlc tomb haha

inb4 5 of them are in Paititi, while there's one in Kuwaq Yaku, and one in San Juan :p

No no no no. I will fight the devs hard :vlol: Not like this haha.

Athukraz 24-10-18 16:10

It's pretty clear 4 or 5 of them will be in the gorgeous and worldwide worshipped Paiteeeeteeeeee

Ahmier 24-10-18 16:14

Iíll feel attacked if I donít hear the Machanta Man in one of those tombs.

Orimus 24-10-18 16:20

Given it's location in the middle of the jungle as well as Trinity's efforts to keep it isolated Paititi does seem the logical place to put most of the new tombs.
Give them a chance to further flesh out the virtual real estate there. Maybe have it evolve along with the new narrative lines that they plan on introducing.

Athukraz 24-10-18 17:25

I swear I'm forever gonna be pissed San Juan is not the biggest hub in this game, it's just so beautiful!!

iWANEX 24-10-18 17:36

I feel like I'm the only person who loves Paititi.

I like Paititi! :D Was a nice change of pace to explore the city and do side missions to help the townspeople.

Kennedy 24-10-18 17:47

Just a shower thought. Could Crimson Fire be descendant of Lopez or his followers? She has green eyes & fair skin (under the bodypaint).

Aren't Yaaxils supposed to be divine creatures?

I wouldn't say that. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring Paititi and appreciate the work that was put into it. I see room for improvement but would not call that a flaw or missed opportunity.

Found this article discussing Shadow from the view of someone with an undergrad degree in anthropology. The author's reception of Patiti is pretty warm: http://coin-drop.com/shadow-of-the-t...-review-paula/

I believe they were referred to as protector goddesses.

Itís such a nice read. She really goes into the kind of detail many of us, mere mortals, havenít even thought about.
And she said the game is her top favorite. Yayyy :jmp:

Maybe, but everyone else appeared to be males & dark skinned. She could come later in the picture later. Anyway, it's just a theory.

No I like it too ! This city is charming and the view incredible. I still have some criticisms but I clearly don't think it ruined the game.

Samsdad 24-10-18 20:26

I like Paititi also. I am a big Witcher 3 fan so I actually would have liked to see the side missions expanded more than they were. I have no trouble with interrupting the main story to go jaunting off for an hour or so on something totally different.

Having a degree in Anthropology also heightened my appreciation of the experience. I found myself slipping back into the participant observation mode frequently and not paying too much attention to the story.

Not just those, a lot of Rise outfits have some problems with the colors, and let's not even talk about TR13 skin :(

It's why I only wear Shadow outfits. Pity they're only few of them. Rise ones look great but only in their main game

I think the fans would have enjoyed Paititi more if it was abandoned or an inactive city. I did feel like Lara was overwhelmed with all that was going on and I think she could've been the boss or HBIC of Paititi had it been open and free to explore alone. They probably just wanted to show that they had the technology to make it happen and it worked, it looks stunningly beautiful, but it was unnecessary.

Lyle Croft 24-10-18 22:08

I still haven't finished the game, and i'm still on my first playthrough.

:o Note to self, don't let my stubborn ass do Deadly obsession on the first try, I get bored and frustrated with the combat easily.

I'm at the annoying san juan light puzzle and then die at the stealth combat stuff. cause how tf am i supposed to do stealth if enemies have eyes.

The fear arrow things are a big help in that section. Just shoot a few guys with it and they all kill each other.

mind 24-10-18 22:22

So apparently I have missed the most bad-ass cutscene in the game because I was smashing space button (at the oil refinery - I wanted to climb the tower then the cutscene came). **** me. (pls don't spoil it for me)
