If the be all & end all of Lara's experience is [I]just[/I] that nonsense at the start of the game, then Crystal will have pretty much blown the whole thing apart already with their hype because we've seen it all. I do think Roth will die at some point. Maybe he'll be murdered in a later game, and Lara isn't sure about who did it, and starts to wonder if she did it herself, then she goes on a crazy adventure in the city and breaks into places, and meets a guy that she falls in love with, and they have many happy adventures in this new series, while Roth is forgotten and shoved in a corner.

Is there a place where I can learn about all the new characters? Gosh there are so many and I haven't really been keeping up with this game's development. :p

And I'd really like the next game to be set maybe a few years in the future, to show how much Lara has grown since her experience on this island. Then she could be a REAL Tomb Raider. A dream come true, since we haven't had a real tomb raider in ten or so years. :o

I'm sure there's threads buried here somewhere (not that I'd know what they were called), but I don't think much is known about the ensemble at the moment beyond names and appearances. Lara herself hasn't been detailed properly yet (to the degree that satisfies people here anyway).

Even the character section at TR.com is rubbish.

I'm sure someone will be able to give you useful links where you can at least put names to faces. The only characters I'm personally aware of are Roth, Whitman, Sam and (I think) Steph.

I don't think there's any official information on them. The only ones we know anything about are Lara and Roth and (indirectly) a little bit of Sam. The others we've seen, we don't really know anything about :/

- Reyes: The black lady that frees Lara from the bear trap. Seems to have at least a bit of gun experience. Also appears a bit more capable than the other survivors imo :pi:

- Whitman: Some kind of doctor; possibly medicine, but seems unlikely. More likely to have 'doctored' in something, such as anthropology, considering he has quite a bit of interest in it. Lara might have been a student of him once, there seems to be some kind of relationship between them at least.

- Sam: Close friend of Lara's. Seem to go back for some time (I'm assuming this from the 'Brooklyn' reference) together.

- Steph: Possibly close friend of Lara as well, but she could've also been just another crewmate that Lara happened to get along with.

And these are the only ones that are named. Of the other 3, we have next to nothing :p

- ESC-shirt Guy: Possibly has a crush on Lara, considering he calls her 'LC' and seems a bit protective of her. On the other hand, they might just be friends, possibly having studied the same subjects. He seems of the same age as Lara and Sam.

- Black Guy: The dude that saves Lara from drowning in the trailer (probably :pi:). Has a weird tattoo of some kind. Physically strong, but aside from that, we've got nothing.

- Old Guy: Has some weird English-y accent (possibly Scottish, not sure). Has attitude, but probably not much else to back it up. [COLOR="White"] Seems very likely to die imo[/COLOR]

I think it's quite alright actually. Although the amount can't increase too much now; I'm hoping for a few 'prominent' scavengers to still be introduced, but that's all. Aside from that, I think they've got enough characters to work with.

I like the diversity but with so many people she's bound to run into at least one of them every 20 minutes, and them BAM, no isolation which means BAM, more TRF bitching, and I just can't stand it!

^Yeah, I want isolation, a cast that's reminiscent of LOST doesn't help promote that.

We had this discussion before. Just knowing other people are there is enough to break the feeling of isolation, they don't have to be heard or on-screen all the time.

As true as that may be...

Knowing you have the possibility of help and company who are off in butt**** nowhere getting their heads chopped off while you're alone is equally isolating, IMO.

Well I don't think that they'll just stay put at the hubs. I mean they were shiprecked in Hell-island, why would they want to make their lifes more miserable? They'd propably be exploring the place too.

Running to them once in a while won't be that bad but all the time, considering their number, would be.

Most, if not all, will die anyway so...

So far of all we've seen we're practically alone anyways.

Did Jean's presence in Alexandria take away the feeling of isolation from the catacombs?

Heck Roth is unconsious for half the journey through the night hub. We're alone up until we find Whitman, and that only lasts a few minutes.

Thank God, that betch Steph is already dead when we start to play :p
