What we meant by a news was proper news. Something Tomb Raider related what we haven't heard or seen yet.

And they are. Activity usually comes in waves - sometimes it's very busy and sometimes it's less. It depends on if there are any hot topics going on at the time.

Someone's earlier comment of it being a "ghost town" is rather an overstatement.

I fail to see the waves then. The hype and attendance on TRF when Tomb Raider was announced and when the trailer was revealed was gigantic. There certainly wasn't such hype on the official Eidos forums like here. TRF is huge mega party, while Eidos forums reminds me of plain cafe bar.

Just curious, will Tomb Raider be shown to press at GDC or are they there strictly for recruiting purposes?

I actually did acknowledge the difference in activity between this and the official forums earlier already.

I guess what I just find fascinating is the importance which seems to be placed in post count.

Every time I poke my head in here, there is always someone attempting to ridicule the official forums in some way. And I'm not sure how such negativity helps one to enjoy Tomb Raider more...

Actually LCGoL was announced at GDC, or slightly before, but they showed it there.

How can you have a HUGE AAA game in production and not show anything, but they will show a downloadable game...

But seriously now....I honestly wouldn't have the time. Some may scoff at this (and I know they will :p) but I'm actually having a hard time keeping up on the official forums already. Although there is always room for improvement, it really isn't as deserted as some may have you believe ;) - I recently posted a questionnaire and got a whole bunch of replies from members during the first few days already. And I'm not just moderating the TR9 forum, but also a bunch of other areas. Plus, I'm involved with [B]a lot[/B] of behind-the-scenes community stuff, which is eating up my time even more so on a daily basis. So I really don't have any more free time to take on these (very busy) boards, as well :o

He is in charge for Europe I am sure. He probably doesn't have the chance to check out USA conferences. ;)
