The top of it was used as the lithograph, but it had a different background. I don't think we've ever seen this specific version in full tho.

I bought the Definitive Edition on Black Friday and finally got around to playing it. It's my first time playing the game since its original release date and this game is REALLY good. I know it's not Tomb Raider-esque but damn this game is so good. It's so well designed and the gameplay is so seamless.

And what a looker. My PS4 library is still small, but out of the looks of games like Killzone, Black Flag, Destiny, Dragon Age... Tomb Raider is definitely the most impressive graphically.

I've ordered the Definitive edition for PS4 and I would like to know if you can create a party because it always annoyed me on the PS3 version where you always got split up from friends -_-

No, you can't. There aren't any changes to the single or multiplayer modes, apart from cosmetic ones.

Yes there are. If the multiplayer mode lags, the console doesn't automatically search for a better host but throws you out of the game and this even counts as if you'd quitted by yourself.

D1 sounds like "Day One" to me but then the new release date wouldn't make any sense. Very strange. Perhaps it's just a mistake on Amazon's part? I have a hard time believing that they're going to re-release the re-release.

It's not a release date, it's one of those order it now and get it by .....

Absolutely loving the DE version on our new XB1 :yah: it looks exquisite, the new close-quarters death scenes are, well, to die for, and it plays as slick as it ever did. And Lara even looks the part in her Aviator gear. I've upped the stakes slightly from my usual easy playthroughs to normal...fine until I hit Shantytown, that last wave of Solari did me many many times before making it through. Those Oni battles on the distant horizon already lurk darkly in the corners of my mind.

Still working its magic, I doff my cap to the producers of this masterpiece :tmb:

I hate Shantytown, I always seem to die there, but only in the 1st wave when I get to the gate and onwards, I flow through very easily

I also hate Shantytown. That segment is now next and I haven't still gotten back to the game because I dislike Shantytown so much.

The first wave of enemies once you get fire arrows is trully horrible. The Solarii just keep coming :hea: I remember on my first playthrough (on hard) I spent there at least half an hour. But the worst segment is when she gets to Sam and are separated in the Solarii Fortress. It´s pure hell.

The Most worst area is Chasm Ziggurat end fight when you are battling the Storm Guard Boss, you just have a lot of Soliarii shooting you which makes it even more annoying -_-

Ah I love Shantytown, [I]because [/I]that first bit is so tough. It really hones my accuracy levels up, out of necessity, and always gives me a good pasting, but I love the way the puzzle element is woven into the situational requirements of each combat-fest. Love the challenge, even when it's infuriating me.

And by 'last wave' I meant the last set of guys that spring up in the first main assault, not the mob by the gate or beyond. That wave alone must've been responsible for about 6 dead Lara's, prolly more.

I'll was just Livestreaming hard mode and I kept dying so much on Shanty Town :vlol:

At least I kept the audience entertained XD

So I decided to do a bow only run and it's been going smoothly so far. I just completed the bunker part just before entering the endurance and something occured to me. Don't I need the dodge counter to defeat the big guy on the ship? :ponder: Because I remember that I would always use that against him, but naturally I got none of the skills right now to pose more challenge. Any of you who did this challenge can comment on this?

No you just dodge and Shoot him, that's what I just did or currently about to do on Sunday :vlol:

Wow, that was actually simpler than I had thought it would be.
I went ahead and finished the game altogether.

TBH, this was not that much of a challenge. I guess using the bow a lot in multiplayer is an advantage. :p There were some tough spots, but usually I could pass every place with 1 or 2 deaths at most. To my surprise I did not die a single time in the Shantytown.

The sad thing is that from now the game could lose all its challenge in a normal run. At least that's what I realized after the challenge. ._. Okay, the game was never too hard (nor on [I]Hard[/I]), though I had some trouble at few places, but now... I just laugh at them. ^^'

TBH, the game posed little challenged once I started playing the multiplayer. AI can't hold a candle to actual players.
