You gets me? I even see people talking in a manner how (TRilogy) Lara would. Intentional or not, it's pretty obvious they're doing it. Orrrrr I just have a love for Legend seeing as it was my first Tomb Raider game and the dialogue just holds a lot of nostalgia. Legend is to me, what Tomb Raider (1996) is to many long time Tomb Raider fans.

Agreed. Now that I think back the trilogy had really nice and memorable one-lines :D. I also miss Hawes! But her voice wouldn't have suited this Lara :o.

Or it might be because I played it when I was 11 so never thought it was cheesy and grew up never realizing it either. Thought it had some great dialogue.

Never found Legend's script cheesy at all. Just really enjoyable, well written, and it really did have some great memorable lines. It's the TR I quote the most. :D

Legend did have an awesome script indeed, I never really felt the cheesiness either, and still don't. Keeley certainly did help but it was very well written anyway.

One of my favourite parts were every time Zip & Alister tried to be funny but ended up being told off by Lara :p !

Agree with everything, especially the bolded part.

I found - and still find - Legend's script to be absolutely HORRENDUS.

Corny to the extreme and NO character is even remotely likeable.

The line that striked me the most: "WHERE IS MY MOMMY?" :vlol: I mean c'mon...

So many bad lines - yet memorable for the wrong reasons!
"A girl knows how to accessorize" :vlol:
There also that line where she tells that completely forgetable man on red shirt and glasses that long-distance relantionships would eventually come to an end, I'll never forget that one :vlol:

And pretty much every single Alister line :vlol:

I actually don't dislike Legend, but the game has some really bad dialogue.

The dialogue sounded exactly like what you'd expect the Angelina Jolie version to say. Lol.

I think that's what they were going for with Legend... Make it exactly like the movies. Ha.

You need a directx 11 card.

mizuno_suisei 22-04-13 03:19

The setup menu has an option called 'Hair' and it will have the selection Normal or TressFX. If your card isn't compatible, TressFX won't be selectible. Nothing else needs to be downloaded :)

It is activated within the game's graphics menu.

she is absolutely gorgeous. the other CD Lara that looks good is the Anniversary Lara.

TRL Lara had too much make up on, and looked like a barbie in next gen.
TRU Lara looked like a botox addict.
LCGOL Lara looked like a tan addict :vlol:

Well, I suppose you can say 'Go to hell' in an argument :vlol: .. I know what you mean. There isn't dialogue in this game that you can interpret into everyday life. As you can with other games.

Bravo. This sums it up perfectly.

Now let's see her boobs get bigger as she grows older, and some badass sarcastic remarks to boot.

You do realise that she is not a man right? Women stop growing after their first period, they just grow a bit more and that's it.

Shark_Blade 22-04-13 12:44

They grow more when they're pregnant. Or when increase in hormones.

Underhoe 22-04-13 12:49

You heard the man. Let's get Lara pregnant.

Those TR easter eggs in Hitman, while interesting, are a bit thin, aren't they? I mean, the Croft words being written, I guess is an easter egg, but "she lost everything in one day" referring to Lara losing her mansion? Meeeeeh. It's a bit of a stretch, if you ask me. :p

But moving on to this whole "Trinity" orginazation, I have to say, I'm really interested in all of it. I'm actually more interested in it than I am about the actual main plot, lol. Really looking forward to seeing them expand on it in the sequel. Let's hope it won't disappoint.

When I found all the GPS caches the main plot just stopped existing actually :p .

I just hope that they don't screw it up with too much Hollywood-ish additions. The whole secret organization thing is intresting as it is, they shouldn't overdo it.

Oh I see! Lovely either way! :D

-----------------------------------

I was just thinking about the side tombs in Tomb Raider. They are really ripe with atmosphere, too bad there were not too many platforming elements or puzzles involved. This game could have been so much better and of course longer. They could also have added some puzzles in Himiko's tomb, I don't find the door-bell to be a puzzle, but more like a obvious game mechanic.

ta :vlol:

on the topic of side tombs they felt more like showcases rather than set pieces that were challenges.

I finally got my birthday gift from my mum today which was 20 euros bill which I spent on GoL, the Tomb of the Lost Adventurer, the DLC outfits and a Lara avatar, lovin' all of them :jmp: !

I know I was kind of against DLC but in the end I gave in...!

Well that's how it always goes, doesn't it? :o

This is why DLC is so prelevant these days because even if people won't stop complaining, they give in eventually. But I don't think it's possible to change the state the gaming industry is in anymore, so at least you have fun :p I bought the outfits as well, just because I can't imagine TR without all the amazing clothes :vlol:

Scorpio1991 23-04-13 23:27

In the most recent xbox update did add cinematics to the ziplines from cliffside bunker to the beach?
I honestly don't remember it looking like that. :pi:

Doesn't warrant its own thread, so I thought I'd chuck that here. I was browsing another forum and saw a thread dedicated to it, apparently it's the project of some guy (who claims to be a SquEnix employee). I'm not a guitar player myself, but the CGI mock ups look quite good.

To be honest, outfits and the tomb were the only intresting add-ons I came accross, if there an option to get Beneath the Ashes (maybe even Lara's Shadow) for the PS3 I would have definately bought them instead, but since CD was unfair at the time I bought all those stuff instead. I bought the Tomb because Tomb Raider and the outfits for pretty much the same reason as you did :p .

And I think we both know what part of Lara's wardrobe is missing from the game :p !

spyrostr 24-04-13 13:31

omg i've just noticed that in the opening sequence when Lara is being dragged by the scavenger and after the ''a production of'' logo , someone is still alive inside the sack at her left and u can see him struggling....
