I mean, they had to put the submerged crashed airplane in the jungle up in the trees because nobody was able to find it... That alone tells stories about which kind of players they had in for playtesting. Surely no one who ever finished one of the classics.

What I don't get is - Reboot has survival instincts. How can you not see a submerged plane in a pond with this feature? Makes absolutely ZERO sense to me.
Same I hope they bring actual gamers for playtesting from now on
has anyone bought the DE? are the DLCs come under a season pass code or it’s everything installed on the CD like ROTTR 20year Celebration?
I have, they are already implemented in the map like any other random mission.

I just have to laugh, and it’s the fact that survival instincts highlights almost everything lol.

They would have to target a different audience first.
See they really need to allow some of us here to be playtesters. Like if people can’t understand puzzles, environments, or see traps then the game is not for them lol.
You know even when TR1 was released there was platesters for the game but it was the dev team itself.

Maybe but why not both audiences at the same time ?
They could keep the optional hand holding, like visual and vocal help, maps and survival instinct, implementing them at the end of production. I mean, it seems easier for me to adapt the difficulty setting to casual gamers than the opposite (the latter to be like Rise/Shadow), but I can be wrong.

I imagine the communication : "We want to bring back the thrilling of big and deadly challenges, to make the experience as intense as ever. However we don't forget gamers who want a more relaxed play and we offer them the possibility to focus on the story with their own convenience."
