The pics Adrenaline posted certainly had scarecrow-like depictions, which is why I never said anything about Adrenaline's post when I originally started going on about Blair Witch. I was more replying to what Mikky and larafan were debating, which seemed centred around the stick figures. They're not scarecrows.

I admit that the one in the concept art looks more like a stick figure. But if you do go to the gameplay, and observe the part where she goes past the scarecrow, you will see IT IS ACTUALLY A SCARECROW. ;) :p

I've been trying to see it in the gameplay footage, but I'm missing it. As I said in my previous post (which got missed) perhaps they're Druid sacrificial Wicker Men. Or not.

You mean the image you posted at 5m22s? I'm not debating that image from the demo of someone strung up to a cross-like thing bares a striking similarity to a scarecrow, that's why I never said anything (even though what we saw in the demo clearly had a religious implication, people don't hang bodies from crosses to scare away birds).

As Lara walks up the ramp past the broken cage, she reaches a sunlit corner and turns left, the guy/scarecrow is against the wall in front of her as she turns. Considering he's a grey object against a grey wall, and the fact camera spins as Lara turns, I'm not surprised you missed it.

I didn't say he'd be insulted by his biography being likened to Roth, only his physical appearance. I said "former" which meant the first example I gave, if I'd meant the second example I would've said "latter".
