Oh really, so you think that there are huge undiscovered islands near Japan? There are no uncharted islands: satellite based cameras can see all rocks and island -like formations more than a few feet across, and those more than a few tens of feet across will be charted - though not necessarily on easily-available maps.

It's never been really clearly stated what anyone knows about the island to be honest. Plus, you have to consider no one can get anywhere near it in the first place. I mean who's to say people can even figure out if anything is there? Something could be blocking anything trying to scan the area...or the freak storms that strand people on the island make it impossible to penetrate through.

I mean, I heard on the news recently about them discovering a small island somewhere...why hadn't anyone found that before? :p

Satellites can see a lot of things, doesn't mean that the islands are actually explored. For the most part, satellites look for points of interest (a.k.a. not zooming in to examine every square mile of the planet).

But Dragon's Triangle is huge with various reports placing it 70 miles (110 km) from an unspecified part of Japan's east coast, 300 miles (480 km) from the coast, and even near [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iwo_Jima"]Iwo Jima[/URL], 750 miles (1,210 km) from the coast.

The very fact that this is set on an island in the Dragon's Triangle is why I like the location. It adds, or even [I]creates[/I] the mystery in the game. With the supposed lack of supernatural elements in the game, then the island being steeped in mystery is one thing that I'm looking forward to learning more about. I'm the opposite to you, I'm glad this part of the game is unrealistic. It appears the island is currently somehow 'hidden' - even though Lara manages to radio for help, the initial response is unsuccessful (?) I'm not clear on the facts of this part of the story, so don't quote me on that. The whole situation just begs for questions. I'd rather that than have a ready known location.

If you search the Dragon's Triangle on Google or in Google Images you will not get any pictures of the island except from the Map location. which means it hasn't been explored completely yet nor they have taken pictures in there.

It is made up? but i thought it was real.... someone said a long time ago in this forum that The Dragon's Triangle was real and I even read something in Wikipedia about it. It said that it was Bermuda Triangle's equivalent and that even more shipwrecks happened there than in Bermuda. :confused:

The Dragon's Triangle is real, the island isn't. So of course, a google search won't show the island.
