I think, imagine if we could freely find the camps ourselves, as soon as we set foot in the map.

Certain upgrades and items can all be locked at each camp we go to, no matter where they are, until we unlock these skills through progression.

Certain areas can be gear gated of course, if CD really don't want us to get there right away. Also, they can lock indoor areas.

I imagine next camps more like Dead Red Redemption, where you could freely set them whetever you want and so travel to any point of the map previously discovered. You can improve the base camps also, it's magnificient.

OH! I would have loved to set up our own camps! :D

For story points, other characters (which CD always want to have) can stay at certain camps and locations, like Jean did in Alexandria (TR4). Then they can maybe make some of the gameplay mission-based, and when we activate missions, we activate story progression at certain areas we may have already visited, but didn't have full access to explore.

LMAO.

I'd hope they can salvage the atmosphere from this game while having a real time day and night cycle.

Well, if there's something incredibely done on this game it's the atmosphere. You can almost taste the isolation feeling and the obvious idea that the island is ****ed up. I am pretty sure that night will be full of surprises and we won't be so fearless as before. A torch on the middle of a japanese forest doesn't sound THAT fun.

I want an entire hub filled with trees that we can walk between with the torch, bushes covering the ground, traps, wolves.

I wish this game's campaign was more focused on the moves and mechanics of the game.

edit: WE still haven't seen tha night hub in video form, officially. ._.

It bothers me that a magazine so long ago could only speculate that the platforming was similar to (and probably isn't) Assassin's Creed, and we can still only guess, as not much has been said about "Lara can do this, and that".

Wouldn't they have that stuff locked in by now? :/

Mikky 27-09-12 19:38

It's so quiet in here...

larafan25 27-09-12 19:40

^I know.

Too quiet.

WTF.

I want new content, naow!

Yall act like we've seen it all!

Mikky 27-09-12 19:44

I want there to be a day when I come on TRF and I find new content has been revealed. I'd be like, "pjoh fdub90uhuh0ghjvhjdsovij! :jmp: :jmp: New screens, new footage! :jmp: OMG, they announced multiplayer! D: But it's only on Xbox 360. :I"

Or something like that. :pi:

larafan25 27-09-12 19:44

I can't wait for them to announce multiplayer.

Mikky 27-09-12 19:46

That's exclusive to the Wii U, but since there's no Wii U version, there's no multiplayer. Paradox.

larafan25 27-09-12 19:47

No.

Stop.

CAN'T.

buyru.

They said there is a feature they have yet to talk about, that Danial Boisen (totally screwed the spelling) worked on!

It's obviously just realistic boob movement physics.

Never.

They also have a rope mechanic, I think.

Because I remember someone mentioning it.

Plus there is rope EVERYWHERE on the island.

But they keep saying "we have dis le machanika su yeah" and then we never here anymore about it.

Each time new media comes out, we see new gameplay, but we're not told much about how the game plays in depth, which leads me to believe there isn't much depth to the mechanics and that it is just a bunch of story moments. :/

Plz be more.

:vlol:

But what you're saying is so true. I know they don't want to go into too much detail because of SPIOILERZ, but... Ugh, it's so frustrating. ;_;

But the thing is....

Story = Spoilers

Mechanics = "I like to know that" - Everyone

Yet they give us more story than mechanics. :/

I feel like it's going to be sort of, a small and neat competitive mode, sort of like how some games have side challenges, except ours will be multiplayer.

Mikky 27-09-12 20:12

Why are 60 people viewing this section?

Derez noting 2 C, peeple.

larafan25 27-09-12 20:13

Ug, I know. And they won't even post. :(

Love that shot.

Mikky 27-09-12 20:20

Yeah, Whitman is checking out Lara's arse.

larafan25 27-09-12 20:20

I know.

But Lara is checking out Sam's orange, so they're equal.

Mikky 27-09-12 20:22

You mean "Lara is checking out Sam's Japanese pear". :p

larafan25 27-09-12 20:24

OMGHJ

Never.

Lara wouldn't.

Hehe xD

I wish they would show us more game mechanics, if they don't want spoilers. I mean seriously, just show us stuff and we'll be happy, just don't try to show us something but nothing! (If that made sense, it probably didn't)

And that guy in the pic is soooo creepy :pi:

Lukass 27-09-12 20:32

*yawns*

I might go to Wimbledon to SEE offices to play TR on Saturday....

17K oMfG!

Evan C. 27-09-12 20:32

Can't wait to see the pendant moving. *sigh*

In fact, if the pendant is not moving, I'm not buying the game.

Karl said all objects have their own physics, they just need to "activate them", so probably you will buy the game and the pendant will move.

I know :D I've posted a video with Brian a few pages back and he's talking about the physics.

Evan C. 27-09-12 20:54

Anyway, I seriously CAN'T wait to see the final version of the game, because this bull**** of beta, pre-alpha and bla bla bla it's fedding me up.

The1andOnlyTR 27-09-12 20:55

My NYCC tickets are on their way to my house. And UPS just showed up with a package. For my mom. :pi: :hea:

Agreed. I mean the improvement was obvious when they revealed the screenshot of Lara trying to grab the bow when they announced the delay (lol). I wanna see some OBVIOUS improvement soon. Something we will notice in a second.

Evan C. 27-09-12 20:57

Yes, without the need of pausing the game, making the image brighter, zooming and being 85% optimistic. Like a really HUGE and serious improvement.

I wouldn't go that far. Surely there will be improvements, but I don't think it will be as big as you're thinking. :/

Evan C. 27-09-12 21:01

I know there won't be major changes, but truly improvements it's what I wish. They are going pretty well, but just a little bit few things IMO must be improved/activated such as the pendant movement or the pack on Lara's back replacing the invisible arrows.
