I honestly prefer this expectation. I don't know what they are cooking there, but time moves on. I keep thinking at the time they have to show the necessary cards for the final promotion.
I think, remember previous releases of other games and although it was exciting to see some progress or pictures of the game from time to time, was like going defoliating the daisy, but you never could get to see it the whole flower. Without being able to enjoy all the flower in full.
At the end you had the flower in your hand and all the petals on the floor.
When you finally had the game, much of surprise was lost.

But that was nothing, but some meetings in European Square-Enix offices. I doubt he was presenting TR to the journalists. I also asked Jay some time ago if we can't expect some magazines in May (June issues), because Karl was in Europe and he said, that he don't know, but it's unlikely because the process of making the magazine is quite long so issues that are supposed to be released in May should be finished in March, early April as latest. Karl was in Europe a few weeks ago, maybe month (?) and that's just not enough time to release something in May (June issues). :/ so yeah...:'(

The campaign would normally kick off the year before the release or so. But CD decidedly started the campaign early to slowly introduce the changes, and we got a lot of media in 2011.

and in the first row they are not communicating with us !!........."bla bla bla soon bla bla bla" this is all what they said for all year...great work CD :ohn:...we wanted 1 new geochoacing artwork what was on the website ..and result ???:cen:


they are quiet because developing does not go according to plan...I feel delay..is too late and they still don't announce boxart and release date...All big fall game is on the eyes, only Tomb Raider is not

No. Many other games start early promo too, but don't suddenly stop for a year unless the game is on hold or enters development hell.

Average campaign = 1 year I guess

2012 is the TR year

1st half of TR year = nothing

1st half of 2011 = a lot of coverage for a game just revealed

Take that half and put it in this past empty half of the year, and you have more content revealed so far than TRU had at this stage in it's campaign.

It's just that the campaign has been gutted a year between reveal and release.

Well, their marketing "strategy" is working to some extent, we are really hyped up about it and we're speculating about it a lot (well only the hardcore fans), the rest dun curr.
