Plus we need a journal back and symbols/ riddles to solve, like hieroglyphs.

For the bold part: Like Uncharted 2, when Nate's reaching the phurba's room, he falls into a little room with a ceiling full of spikes that is lowering slowly, and we have to shoot a cog to stop the mechanism! Something like that would be really AMAZING.

I want death-defying sequences like those!

I really want some classic puzzles like searching for keys, amulets, levers etc., but they said we shouldn't expect any ancient mechanics. All the "puzzles" in the game were created by the scavengers (the cage in the cave for example) to work for them and she will have to do something to make them work for her, if that makes sense.

But did they really say it? I mean they said there are noh masks and japanese idols all over the island, I expect at least one temple or tomb.

There will be tombs and temples, but no ancient puzzles and traps. They want the puzzles to be "believable".

Well that sounds weird, and why wouldn't ancient puzles be believable... :confused: ?

Ancients had all sorts of handy mechanisms that we now not know and think as "too much" but that doesn't mean they weren't real.

Anyway, their game, their rules, I just hope they might decide to add some in a later game :( !

I guess it's different for each developer/game, how that works. I remember that Uncharted 3 went beta like one year ahead of release or something, and I heard about a game that went beta only a few weeks (or even less) before. :o

They've been showing the same build at all the events though, so the demo is pre-beta, but the game that's being worked on in the studios could be further along than that. what comes after, beta and...? Or is that when the polishing finishes?

for ex:

you walk into the tomb and you can explore everything in that tomb. Walk into the next room its a hallway. and a door! open the door it leads to a dungeon. in the dungeon there artifacts and the specific one your looking for. When you grab the artifact Traps go off. I mean real traps not spears shooting across the room i mean real real real traps. Then you run out of the tomb. when you are out. mercanaries attack you. you win. and escape

So, for the scavengers. So far, we've seen only guys. Realistically, I don't think there could be that many without at least a few women on the island as well. I'm kinda hoping for some badass female scavenger, as unlikely as that is :p Children scavengers'd kinda take away the seriousness, I think...

And if there are women, why don't they qualify for whatever they're planning to do with Sam? :pi: There's so much we still don't know. Which is good, I guess :p

All the scavengers are sailors who were shipwrecked there and there aren't many female sailors, they sure exist but I doubt that they do on this island, too bad I'd love a badass bitch female scavenger too! She could have been the new Amanda :p !

Still, there seem to be quite a lot of them. I know they weren't there for that long, something like 30-40 years, but still, for that amount of people, we either need reproduction (ergo, women :p) or a lot of shipwreck survivors that got recruited. Which sort of begs the question; who is the leader? :pi:

I actually quite liked Amanda :p I really do hope there's some sort of chain of command with the scavengers.

It has a decent kind of logic, but more and more ships end up there so I'm guessing that they just keep coming and coming, all those people aren't from the same ship.

Amanda was my favourite, after Lara! And yes I hope that too!

Lol yeah. Cocktail dresses aren't really an option either :p I was thinking of a fluffier winter jacket, but that would probably be too similar to the 'Aviatrix' skin.

I just had an idea; Scavenger disguise :p !

They don't wear anything special but... erm, well when we see someone we can tell if they're from the Endurance or Scavengers :p !

We're getting new art for the cover I think.

Plus art was mentioned of Lara with her back to us, by a stream, with a compound bow in her hand and slashes across her back.

I'm still kinda sad we won't get to play the ship sequence. I would've loved that as a short introduction. Just meet the characters, maybe complete a few tasks and then all hell breaks lose and you learn the controls while escaping the sinking ship.
