But aren't you suppoused to get the red axe by upgrading the pry tool you find in the tunnel. Or are the pickaxe and the prytool two completley different things?

Also remember that in the Night hub when Lara talks to Roth, doesn't mention Sam or the others, wich wouldn't really make sense since they were just killed and Sam was kidnapped.

I think that from the time that the Night hub leaked, for some reason the storyline has changed significantly...

Lara gets the Mallet from the WW2 Bunker, then she upgrades it to the Pry Axe at Whitman's camp. Then it shows that the next upgrade would be the red axe which she gets from Roth at the night hub base camp.

Lara might not have mentioned Sam to Roth as she has him on the walkie talkie. I don't know though. :/

When she upgrades the primitive pickaxe to get the better one to open the gate, you can see there's a silhouette of the red one in the upgrading menu. But then again, she has the red axe in the parachute demo. We don't know though, if the parachute demo happens after she met Roth, so it's hard to tell). I dunno, I'm confused.

Oh and doesn't Roth give Lara a gun to fight of the wolves in the night hub, it doesn't make sence since she already has the Russian guy's pistol.
The story has most defenatley changed, the Night Hub just doesn't fit in with the current storyline.

But in the Night Hub she talks to Roth in person, I don't know those scenes simply don't fit in.
And why woudl you have to wait for Roth to give you the red axe, couldn't you just gather some Xp and upgrade it yourself...

But...but the leaked bit doesn't show that much to make them change it. There's not even a proper sound. It just shows a part of what's been said in the very first GI preview.

But the leaked video picks up right when Lara finds Roth, and in the leaked script she doesn't seem to mention the others, but that's probably because when she finds him he is being attacked by wolves and injured, plus he faints, so.

You know, what's also weird? When Lara's in her basecamp and talks to Roth he says something like he sent S.O.S before the Endurance crashed and hopefully someone catched it. Why would he want her to climb that radio tower to send another S.O.S.?

Maybe nobody caught the S.O.S.?

IDK.

January_Snow* 15-10-12 01:22

Maybe they had the whole Sam get's kidnapped story as a backup, and when the Night Hub and the script for it leaked they decided to change the story, and push the Night hub later in the game making it less relevant.

Just think about it the tools we are suppoused to get by killing the wolves we already have them, Lara doesn't mention anything about Sam or the massacre that happened with the Russians, and there is the SOS thing Lukass noticed.... It doesn't fit in, it just doesn't

I think it does fit.

Lara is getting Roth's talkie (which he had when he spoke with Lara beforehand) because the wolves took it. Lara doesn't speak of the others when she finds Roth because when she finds him he is being attacked by wolves, and she has to help him, and then he faints.

Rai 15-10-12 01:25

The Night Hub hasn't gone has it? That would be bad - especially as the wolf den is in the trailer seen after the demo.

Heartache 15-10-12 01:25

I just think they changed some small story things. the nighthub itself will still exist. we can see the plane that crashes in the gameplay trailer which is right after lara sent the s.o.s

No. People are just jumping to conclusions and trying to make sense out of nothing as usual it seems.

larafan25 15-10-12 01:27

There is no reason to think anything has changed, it all fits in place.

And Lara sends her own S.O.S. when she reaches her first camp, it makes sense to send out multiple S.O.S.

I edit Lara's in-game model!
That is kind of how she should look like in-game :)

Is it better then the original? :p

Lukass 15-10-12 14:18

^ I definitely like your version of Lara's hair better.

What about the face? :p

Rai 15-10-12 14:20

I don't really like the extra bits of hair flowing down he neck, it's unnecessary, imo. I do prefer the piece over her eye being thinner.

Did you do something with her eyes? Not really feeling that either, sorry.

Your version of her face is better too. The position of her eyes does a lot. Your version is certainly more similar to the CGI Lara than the ingame model from CD. In fact, her ingame face looks nothing like in the artworks and renders, so...

This is true and annoying

Rai 15-10-12 14:45

@yaron, hmm, I still prefer the hair as it is in the original. Your new edit on the eyes is better :tmb: Still, the original is fine with me too.

Lukass 15-10-12 14:58

^ Yeah, color of her eyes does a lot too. I like the version on the left better. She looks much more similar to the CGI render.

I don't think that'll happen since you can retrieve arrows from enemies. In other words arrows are infinite in the since that they can be reused so that you're not just out of ammo and have nothing but melee, which would be kind of a bad situation.

I think you can't pick up arrows that missed your target.

^ Almost. The ingame model is just too different. Her lips are different, her face shape is different...it's like completely different character.

That's weird  I remember reading somewhere that the in-game model was directly adapted from the high definition renders, such as the ones from the trailer :/

The Game Informer face may have been the CGI model but it's painted up, I think. Hence why some differences.

So Lara's ingame model may look more like the CGI model in the trailer than in renders.

Maybe. But they failed, in my opinion. She looks nothing like that. The CGI renders and the Turning Point model are pretty accurate, but the ingame model is something completely different.

larafan25 15-10-12 16:48

It makes sense that some features might lose some of their sharpness or angles when becming more detailed and smooth.
