Not for me. Reboot/Rise/Shadow tried that but didn't execute the more classic mechanics well enough. It took 3 games to get decent underwater swimming for gods sake. TR1/Legend had that from the start.

I'd rather them have a smaller budget with a smaller team working on a true Tomb Raider game that focuses on the original design but also allows for casual gamers to play too.

Just because it has a smaller budget doesn't mean the quality would suffer.
