No. After you exit Vasily you have to come next to Luddick and then hand icon appears so they could have appeared immediately after you exit the Vasily but both of them then. And no, Kurtis character is not in that level.

Ok so In this case I decided that: The second cop (3rd - after the first couple) will be actived right after you pick-up the hammer piece in the dead-end street with the police and the other two just after you leave Vasiley's. What would you say?

I know the ones you mean, there's 2 shots of him in the sewers just entering Vasileys, i think they were just created from promotion rather than being a part of the game.

Hope you don't mind me posting this in your thread, i guess it falls under a mod? I dunno if this has been done before but here's my attempt on it. I never liked the way the FMV's looked on the PC or PS2 version of the game, but they were particularly rough in the PC version. The colour is wrong on both versions but the PS2 uses MPEG2 and has uncompressed audio (the PC uses MPEG1 and the audio is compressed to 192kbps). The intro was also positioned wrong in the PC version so it was always off centre. So i took the PS2 versions and tweaked the colours so they're correct (note black is now black and not a very light gray).

I'm really interested how the process is going on! Were you able to load the CHR file 3d model?

You know recenlty many things happen. I helped Aurimas activitang the Missig Beattle in Aquatic Research Area and then I also checked some other levels for missing characters too. I found that in Monstrum Crimescene there are 2 deactived cops and one optional. I said that because actually the first one and the second one separately was ment to be actived at certain conditions. I don't know exactly what are they and I'm accepting all kind of ideas when they were used to be actived (eg.: Right after the Luddick converstion).

This is just a theory, but I would vote the cop on the stairs is for if Lara comes out and gets the scene where Luddick is blathering about seeing Bouchard running away from the scene, when Lara has already seen him dead.

Now I got that to play once on the PS2 version way back when the game was first released, just cannot for the life of me remember how, it was too long ago, and it never happened on the PC version, which I investigated a lot later. I suspect I never came out that door though, and forgot to get something and had to try again.

Do you know how change the audio of your remastered FMV's? I tried this morning with Spanish audio, but I can't merge it using the PCM Linear Audio you used

Maybe you backtracked and got out by the sewers? Or by the front door... is that even possible? I have to try that.

Both of them are good but I personally prefer the screenshots on the right despite that some details such as bars on the windows or Lara's eyes look better on the left ones.

By the way, I also noticed that other files such as GMX.CLZ files take more more space on PS2 release so it may be worth to check them for higher quality textures and/or things that are not in gameplay.

Thank you for the videos and for the file. I will try it. After seeing the videos I nearly have no doubt that 2 cops had to appear after Lara exit the Vasily. However I am still not sure about the other one as it seems to be shooting to other direction than where Lara comes out from. It seems like there had to be another trapdoor that Lara cannot use in gameplay but cop shoots exactly that way so I think it had something to do with it.

By the way, there is another video that demonstrates camera development mode on Youtube. It also shows the light coming from the Vasily's window of the unfinished puzzle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NpCBQ8mBmc

Yes this seems logic but in this case lara should go out from this trapdoor but there isn't ladder there. By the way this reminds me the Bouchard's Hideout sewers somehow.
