Hot take: Zelda is the only good Nintendo star franchise, if we're not counting that weird timeline. It embodies everything that's Nintendo (creative ideas, interactivity, directed at all ages...) in a challenging but fun way, and the saga has adapted perfectly to every console. Phantom Hourglass really took the DS to a whole new level.
You have games that are completely different from one to another, but they still feel TLOZ. Like BTOW is clearly not the same as Majora's. And they are all very good quality, even the only one I don't like (Spirit Tracks). Super Mario is overrated, its spin-offs are better than the main games at this point. There are platforming games that are superior, but they don't get circlerjked over bc they're not SM. And well, Pokémon has been a joke for the past 10 years, not even the spin offs are good anymore. Remember Pokémon Ranger? Mystery Dungeon? Colosseum? Well, enjoy that Pikachu acting the fool with a hat |

^ Completely disagree about Mario, if you haven't played the main games your missing out. Sunshine, Galaxy, and Odyssey are the best main games they have. Especially Odyssey, best main game in the franchise imo along with Galaxy.
Mario and Zelda compliment each other well. |

Hot damn, Metroid getting shafted like that... That's brutal
Because they're selling nearly 20 million units at the moment. They'd be crazy do lower the price while selling gangbusters and racking in the dough. |

We'll see, it's also possible they simply don't have 5 million physical cart ready to go. But we'll see, there's going to be more printed, the wait is just on for those that missed it... Also it might just be me:

All-Stars leaked and it's been confirmed each game is actually running an emulator rather than being ports. Mario 64 even has strings referring to other N64 games, a few other Mario games along with Perfect Dark, Kirby, and Pokemon Snap. Seems like the idea of Nintendo adding N64, Gamecube, and even Wii games to their Online service isn't as far fetched as people thought. That might be why this is a limited release, they'll add these games to their online service after this collection goes away. A little bit of a dump on people paying for it now if they do that.

Galaxy had extra work done because they had to rip out the motion controls, but the graphics and audio are still running through an emulator. For games that support the Classic Controller out of the box they won't have to re-assemble any code so could probably skip the extra work and just have the emulator.

Also, is anyone actually surprised that this is emulated? I'm not. |
