We are so far gone that people dont have priorities anymore, thats the point.

My bad, I misunderstood. Apologies.

Someone said that they might have removed those posters due to not owning licenses to the images / the licensing could be ambiguous. IMO it's more plausible than pure malice, which is a crazy concept to me. Wasting dev resources, time and money and risking media outrage to remove something that's already done? And even celebrated on the official tomb raider website? Nah.
Also reminder that the remasters are apparently rated teen now, not mature.

And this is why I am glad to play games on PC where something can easily be modded back in. I just hope they don't go crazy changing things in future patches.

I find that hard to believe that's the reason, since I'm almost 100% sure those are official Core-produced images.

But that's just more censorship wanting supposedly suggestive images replaced with other images like when Marge had Itchy and Scratchy censored, it's only according to Crystal Dynamics that the images they removed are suggestive and deserve to be censored meanwhile Crystal Dynamics Lara is running around in bikinis in her mansion.

Always has been, always will be.
Only in America is guns and violence acceptable in games but a nipple appearing for 3 seconds is enough to send Americans into a frenzy and having them sharpening their pitchforks, as evidenced by these Simpsons scenes

You may not know this the game Fahrenheit aka Indigo Prophecy was censored in the American version a woman was wearing a swimsuit in the shower, the same thing probably happened in both Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls.

That's a complete myth that "Only west censors games".

Japanese versions of Witcher 3,baulder's gate 3 and Mafia 3 have censored nudity and violence compared to USA version.

The entire world censors something here or there. I wish they'd just stick to age ratings if they cared that much. That's why they exist.

Age ratings used to be the common denominator.

I still remember when the US government wanted to give GTA San Andreas an Adult rating over a mod.

I'm actually okay with the pinups being removed. I know they're a meta joke of sorts, but they seemed pretty incongruous to me, and broke the immersion.
