I think that this is a good attitude to have when it comes to opinions.

It's shocking to see how much I loved Anniversary in 2007. The Search tool in the forums is EVIL.

Sometimes love doesn't last. Sometimes love isn't the only requirement to maintain a relationship. Sometimes love is not love, but we don't know it then.

Love... -.-

Oh yes as others have already mentioned, The Destroy all Humans! Remake is 10 times superior to the original in every way, rendering the original absolutely pointless. I love this game with my soul and I can't wait for the inevitable announcement of a sequel.

I think it can always be civil, like in this case I would say:

"I like the original more based on ___ reasons, but I respect you liking Anniversary more. Everyone's different after all."

Everyone doesn't need to be up in arms at each other over differences in opinion. I love the classics, but I won't tear someone down over their liking of something else. I will however state my disapproval with some of the decisions Crystal makes.

Yep, as controversial as it may be, I think TRA is better than the original. The most boring and unnecessary portions of the original got cut out, and many stuff got improved - and still, the game feels big, especially compared to TRL
I agree that some of the slicing was an improvement over the original and actually some levels were actually better too such as the tomb of Qualopeque and sanctuary of the scion. I do think some levels like The Lost Valley , the Cistern and Palace Midas were a bit lacking though. I also liked how CD decided to give you more control over Lara in TRA, even if it was a bit superficial. I was annoyed the didn't bring the manual grab back in TRU.

Technically TRA is the better game but I still prefer TR1, probably nostalgia.

I used to prefer Anniversary as a whole, but the original wins for the better atmospheric design. I remember playing Anniversary religiously from 2007-2011 on the PSP and I must've completed it more times than the original. The remade versions of all Greece levels were done better in Anniversary, especially St. Francis' Folly.

I appreciate the visual direction on how the Egypt levels looked, but I did miss the variety of colours the original had. I don't hate Lost Island in Anniversary, but it felt less intimidating. The original Atlantis was far more unsettling.

Destroy All Humans didn't appeal to me either I tried a Destroy All Humans demo and wasn't impressed by it.

I like Alien Isolation a lot more than Destroy All Humans.

RE1 remake and I would say RE2 if the second run was implemented better. It was very rushed and inconsistent.

I hear Metal Slug X (A remake of Metal Slug 2) is considered one.
It adds more content and it's on the Metal Slug 3 Engine so it fixes the problem Metal Slug 2 had where there was tons of slowdown.
