Default We are getting Monkey Island 6 !!!!!

https://returntomonkeyisland.com/

It's name is return to monkey island and Ron Gilbert(The director of MI 1&2) is working on it.

It's gonna be an alternate continuation to Monkey Island 2:Lechuck's revenge since Curse Of Monkey Island didn't follow the story the way it was supposed to be.(And retconned the ending of MI 2)

This is awesome news. I never expected this to ever happen. (Now I just need Jensen to get back to Gabriel Knight and TR to go back to classic TR style!)

About the continuation thing I think it's not going to be quite like that since Murray appeared in the trailer, and on twitter Ron Gilbert confirmed MI3 to remain canon

IDK. But I kinda feel that MI 3 is gonna be in an alternate universe.

Well, Monkey Island 6 will be released next week. I have pre ordered the game since I'm a fan of this franchise and I like every game.

It's on my wishlist. Definitely want to play it sometime soon.
I've heard some people aren't fond of the art style, but I love it and find it very fitting.

I stopped caring about art style from the moment I played Monkey Island 3.

I wasn't a fan of it's art style.(Guybrush looked very different compared to the way he looked in Monkey Island 2 and 1)

Played it for 90 minutes. It's pretty good so far.

It has a notebook in the main menu that has Guybrush voice actor talk about the events of Monkey Island 1-5.

The game plays like Curse of Monkey Island but feels a little "modernized".

I'm happy with my purchase.

I will give it a try, though I'm not a fan of this new flash animation/cutout art style. It feels low budget, I prefer the Monkey Island 3 style among the 2d games.

I finished the game after 16 hours.

Here are my thoughts.

In terms of gameplay, It's the same as MI 3 with these additions:

1.An optional hint system and a "hold tab to see interactible items if you don't like pixel hunting."
In my opinion this is a good addition for those people that get tired after a while and just open a guide on their mobile.(Since it actually makes them to play the game instead of browsing internet and reading guides it also helps that the guide system gives you advices until telling you the whole answer.)

2.Guybrush moves faster and you can make him go faster by double clicking. Which makes it faster to move around. So, no more seeing guybrush moving very slowly like in MI 3.

3.The game's user interface has also been improved and now when you test items on objects you waste far less time and annoyance.(It also helps that Guybrush saying "I can't use this there" dialogues were removed.)

The story itself is interesting but based on your preferences you either like the ending or hate it. I personally don't know how to feel about it lol.

It was a good game, the only "disappointing" part of this game for me is this that point'n click adventure games have barely evolved from the 90s era and it has gotten a little "repetitive" for me.
