I mean, technically, yes. Only because I use an external HDD to run the LE from.

And so... What are the ideal settings that a laptop needs to have in order for the Level Editor runs fine?

Personally I have a portable version of TRLE, that is a one without any registry keys, without uninstall.exe etc. I have also deleted any unnecessary stuff like original WADs and projects. Then I install NG_Center and set everything to that TRLE folder. After that I check compatibility settings of NGLE.exe to:
Windows compatibility: none/disabled
Color Mode: 16-bit
Run as admin
I also make sure that neither NG_Center.exe nor any of its shortcut has ANY compatibility enabled (because it overrites ngle.exe compatibility if you run it through NG_Center). And then you're good to go.

May I ask the builders, what makes you need to split the levels?

Just for the sake of organisation?
Reached the WAD object limit?
Too many textures on your level (tex infos)?

Any other reason?

I'm... just curious to know
It's very boring to have to split a (supposely) huge level into two small ones

The other half just needs some space and it wasn't going anywhere anyway
