Oh my god!!! I did this aswell a few years ago (Implementing some TREP patches into TR4 engine) but I could never get the uzi/revolver holder bug to work!! How did you do it! I changed the exact same codes to match and it just ever did anything.

Now, about the fixing of the holsters (Uzi and Revolver) I did try. I am 100% sure I put the codes in the right places but no effect at all So i've no clue why its not working, Sorry.
From that thread.

I remember for days and days pulling my hair out wondering why it didn't work. Congratulations to you for managing to do it though!

Oh, you mean the holster bug? Where Lara puts her weapons away, but the holsters are still empty?

I glad you like them I had the same problem, some patches are only change the code as are on trle, but some as holder bug nope You must use the program OllyDbg, understand the references (to variables and direction addresses) on trle patch assembler code and port them into another exe. It's a bit hard to explain, I only understand very few assembler reserved words but I did it with the method "test-error"

Cheers

Love your patch, Thank you!

the only thing missing now is proper widescreen.

Edit: Am I the only one who can't choose a higher resolution? I can't use 1600*900

Yeah I guess hey! I was just changing the corresponding hex code rather than digging deep with debugging/assembling I know nothing about that.

Change your compatability settings that's normally the reason when you can't choose a high res.

Also, There's a custom TR234 widescreen patcher here
It's not ideal for some (just zooms and crops screen as opposed to actual aspect change) but its alot better than the original stretched Lara!

Do any of these patches implement the draw distance increase of TREP? I have been looking for a way to get TREP to work with TR4 just because I want the better draw distance.

Well that and better menu fonts

You could do this by just using the TREP edited TRLE engine to your desire, but you just won't be able to play cutscenes or ingame scripted/triggered FMVs

I tried to do this a few years ago but I couldn't get much from TREP to work in the TR4 engine.

Ah thats a shame then, will have to try to get a TREP patched exe and see how it is later.

Will there be a patch for the GOG and Steam versions of the game?
