Anyway...havent read the full article but from what i read it makes little sense.
Dont really get the writers mindset.

On one hand he praises the death animations of Dead Space or the game over screens from the arkham games...but then says that failure doesnt need cinematics.

I dont really understand the writers point in this one...maybe he words it a bit strange to me...i dont know.

That they are outdated animation wise is correct.

What a ****ty article.

The Tomb Raider games, however, are far more action adventure and obviously inspired by the Uncharted games — games that don’t feel the need to show Nathan Drake’s bloody corpse writhing in agony on a rusty spike after you screw up a jump.

Makes sense why they needed to write the article so badly
