Is there any particular rule for showing a render of a model you are never gonna share?
I have done it multiple times but just as art not to be mean or tease. Also I never placed it on the WIP thread.
Like my avatar.... (I actually tried to fix that mod for sharing but unfortunately couldn't.)

Oh and also....
PICTURES SHOULDN'T BE QUOTED. Can that rule be added?

Hmm, no, these aren't exactly rules. They're more like... guidelines. You are free to post all your projects in the w.i.p. thread, but it would be good if you let people know in advance that you aren't intending to share something. Because it's not very nice to tease something for a long time and then all of the sudden say that they won't ever get it... If you know what I mean.

Good point about quoting pictures, I've included it in the part about posting images. Thanks!

one question though. i recently watched the dark knight rises and wants to do a scene with bane. i was about to go digging through the arkham city files for him then something popped up to my mind. what if someone is already working on him?

is it safe to assume that no one is working on a model when you don't see it in the W.I.P. thread or are you still expected to ask around? just thought that a bit more clearing up in that area would be nice since the issue might also arise between modders when new games come out.

oh and i approve too, of course. XD

Tons of people say "Oh, I was working on that but I forgot" and never say anything about it in the WIP thread unless someone asks specifically about that model, I think if someone wants to do a model, they should do it. Doesn't matter if someone else was working on it 2 years ago, as long as a model gets released, there's really no problem.
