Another question: I can't export the .rec file. But I've the Sapper's plugin installed.

Default Help needed!

I've got my object UV mapped, the plugin seems to work fine but the baking part of the tutorial isn't working for me.

I can't seem to bake my UV textures onto the unpacked model -- it comes out blank? Anyone know why?



I'm sure the solution is something very obvious that I overlooked -- i'm certain that the copy model is the active selected and the original uv-map looks great.

Did you selected both models first the one to bake from (doesn't need to be visible) and with shift the second the one to be bake to? Also there's a lot of possibilities why it doesn't work... If you have selected both models and it still doesn't work than you can send me the blend file and I will write you the solution

Thanks for the offer -- the creator of the object solved it for me. ( i just made the textures). The problem was that the applied material was not the one seen in the viewport, my UV texture had to be loaded into the material or something.

Amateur mistake!

Great..different materials and material settings can be also the common problem that can happen

rec file can only be exported in object mode. Do you see it grayed out or it isn't there at all. If its gray just press tab.

The it may not be installed correctly.

I placed the Sapper folder in the script/add-ons folder, not the individual files - then it worked for me. What's your set up?

Do you need to use blender? Or could one UV Map and export it from metasequoia?
