Sorry for the delay, web build was updated just now. I didn't tested it on many machines and levels, so need your help with this :)
Some things are not implemented yet:
- waves propagation from one room to another
- gun flashes doesn't light on water surfaces
- water is flat as glass without any impacts, I'll add small ripples, maybe only for rivers
- underwater fog (rays?)
- bubbles, underwater flow and ambient sound
- optimizations & quality settings for slower machines :)

I'm amazed this much progress has been made in such a short amount of time.

Anyway, I've tried the web and portable versions on my Fedora 35 box, and both run fairly well. The local version is definitely the smoother of the two though, but it seems to suffer from some audio bugs; there's pretty heavy crackling, and everything is delayed by about a second. Still, very impressive how well it works considering how young the project is.

^ Try running it it Firefox. It seems to provide the best performance with the web build for most of people here.

As I said, the local version was running more smoothly for me. The audio was working fine in the browser version though.
