re: voice lines, it all depends on what line was packed into the level and if theres room in the triggers to activate them

- it's good to be back plays when lara is freed from the tube chamber by kurtis b/c that's where it is

- great, broccoli with attitude isn't packed into that level or there arent enough triggers there

- idk about you like biting things but i assume its part of the above


like thanks for your interest but i think pretty much everything we've talked about or considered has been done. the biggest part of tr:aod restoration was the initial development and seeing what was feasible out of this already-completed game (which we dont have dev files for), which was done by reborn and trjta before jathom and i even signed on as concept consultants. voice lines are likely a done and dusted deal

@reborninshadows thank you a lot for this release! I was particularly looking forward for this one the most so far, because now we finally have her torso fixed when aiming with the pistols. That was something that bothered be a lot.

All of the other changes were great additions too.

And as a positive feedback, the way the Patcher Menu is organized is really better now. Nice job.

They probably did not like Lara talking to herself during gameplay that much.(Since at that time silent protagonists during gameplay was much more common in video games.)

I don't think they would have recorded an insane amount of voice lines of Lara talking to herself if they didn't like it. I'm not sure why so many of them didn't end up being included in the levels but it would be a huge waste of time and money to record all of those lines if they had no intention of using most of them. (what I included in the mod is only a small fraction of all unused voice lines really)

Wasn't there a cutscene in the Biodome with Lara going through the door at the start and saying it's good to be back? I remember seeing sth like that but I cannot recall if it was official.

That cutscene is no longer in the retail version, sadly.

It was shown during AoD month as part of development content, so yes it was official.

There is a chance they made it only for gaming press and trailers to not spoil the game.(Raven software for example made a complete level for JK 2 which did not appear in the released game and was just shown in the trailers and the demo)

No, it was meant for the retail game too. It's in the story draft written by Murti, the lead writer. Lara was supposed to walk into BRF and say that line (pertaining to her being in shorts again and finally feeling like herself again after half the game.)

Hi reborn. An idea for the patcher:

Would it be possible to add an option in the "movement|" section that disables Lara's transition animations (for example, STANCE_TO_RUN, RUN_TO_STANCE, STANCE_TO_WALK, WALK_TO_STANCE etc)

One of the reasons that people say the E3 version looks more fluid is because of that. See:
