So... I know I told you guys that I was planning on releasing this until the end of this month but I will probably be releasing it a bit later than that. I think it's best to put in as much as I can into the first release rather than just updating it later on shortly after release.

![]() The fact that this is going to exist at all really makes my birthday in a couple of days a memorable one already. How's the X-Ray scanner panning out so far?

EDIT: I may do a compromise and make it so that you just activate the machine without putting the painting first (and imagine Lara putting it there I suppose lol). This way there is no weird getting hurt thing and you get the keep the item in your inventory so it's way cleaner. Last edited by reborninshadow; 26-07-21 at 20:42. |

Speaking of re-activating things, is there any possibility there’s something left in the church that was “turned off”? I know there’s a punching bag you were supposed to interact with and a bunch of dialogue to go with it but there’s no hand icon.
Apologies for the question, I know I should just wait and see what you have in store for us ![]() |

I guess besides that the only other thing would be the broken monitor and the weird focusing in on it.

skipping the item placement part would be wonderful i think, a great compromise.
btw please take as much time as you need to make this, this is like build 60 of AoD ![]()

I guarantee these issues that reborn is running into and fixing are the exact ones Core did and why they just scrapped stuff left and right instead of actually implementing them.

Would it make sense to put the roof key in the second floor apartment of Derelict Apartment Block?
As it stands Lara complains that the exit needs a key, you then pick it up off the floor and can immediately leave. There's no reason to take the lift back down aside from getting an empty lethal weapon early. Surely it'd make more sense for Lara to get the roof key from the desk drawer in the unlocked apartment than just on the floor in front of the door she needs to use. |

But I don't think it'd be that difficult to figure out. The only locked door in the complex, it must hold the key to get out. Simple, right?

I think it's designed well enough to be intuitive, you pick up the apartment key from the wall right next to the locked door and the lift switch. The game is basically urging you to go back downstairs.
If perhaps that was the original plan, I wonder if the change to put the vector in the second floor apartment (when originally the first gun was going to be in the club) was specifically to put something valuable in there after removing the key. There really isn't much reason to go back downstairs otherwise, and the whole lift mechanism is quite a detailed mechanic to only be used once as a detour for a pickup after you've reached the exit. |
