Well you can use these old animation files (this is from early 2003 btw) but they are very very buggy when used with the retail game so you can't really play through the game properly with them. The biggest issue is that none of the weapons work and they break the game.

Jesus! So it is the actual animation file we have seen on those E3 videos. Do you think there’s even a tiny possibility of “merging” (this is probably not the right word) the animations from this file with the retail one and recover that 180 Turn animation? I always thought it was more polished than the retail one.

If not, will you eventually release it so we could check it out? Id love that!

Also let me say congratulations one more time. You’re probably tired of hearing this but you just keep surprising everyone.. It is so weird that nobody found these things for the last 20 years and now you’re basically extracting a whole game out of AOD. Nice one!

Thanks I really appreciate that

I'm not really sure if what you're saying is possible since I never really looked into how the animation files work so who knows? Would like to include it if it is doable though. I also really like the way she holds dual pistols in these animations, it looks more like TR1 - TR5.

If I release the animations as they are, it would probably be released alongside this level as a bonus or something like that since the animation file needs to be included inside a level GMX file.

Exactly! I knew I spotted a difference in that. That animation was used in those long Beta videos with 1 hour each that were posted by the official TR channel during the 25th celebrations.

One of the last few things I always wanted for AoD, was that old/beta run animation. Don't know if you ever noticed, but it's a little different than the one we have in retail as well. Did you spot it anywhere in those files?

Having these more polished anims running on retail would be the perfect world. If that's not possible it would be fun just to try them out, just like the beta version of Parisian Backstreets. I'm such a curious person about angel of darkness and I'm pretty sure that there's a lot of people who would enjoy this too. For some people this could seem something minor, but for us it's almost like finding gold.

I have animation files from september of 2002 too but they won't work on retail at all. I technically have all animations in their raw formats (including E3 anims and earlier) but they can't be compiled to work ingame since we don't have those tools. Running anim is not happening any time soon, unless we get working tools.

Thank you so much for being so attentive to people's inquiries and requests. I currently watched your work on Kriegler castle and it made me feel like Christmas arrived a whole month early.

It would be great if the next release included some tuning to the controller options (whether it's inverting Y axis or detecting LT and RT on Xbox 360 gamepad), but seeing these can be worked around, they are not necessary and probably would get in the way of the other improvements you have planed or are being worked on right now.

Wow, I never ever thought I'd see something like this, this is amazing!

Also, I saw you've been able to make the 2002 beta Paris Backstreets map playable, are you going to release it? I'd really love to play it!
