I could release it but it would be mainly for people to look at the environments and to just mess around in the level, rather than something that's fully playable. There are still many things I need to look into to make these fully playable.

Hello! I understand it would just be a map to explore, but it would be really great to get to finally fully explore it, even if there's not loads to see or do in it's current state. I appreciate all your hard work so far

Hello. I've been looking back and forth and I can't find a comprehensive installation guide for this. I really want to play it with me XBOX Controller.

Now, it works, but with some issues. I've copied the bin and data folders over to the base installation folder and the game runs from steam. However, the cutscenes do not play. It's just the audio. And I have to press ESC to skip the cutscenes. It's just a blank screen with the audio.

I also can not use my XBOX controller. Keyboard controls for this game are practically unplayable in my opinion, and I have absolutely no idea what to do to get the XBOX controller to work for this game.

Any help would be appreciated, as I really am very excited to relive this game in a fresh way. Thank you.

To use your xbox controller, make sure you use the XINPUT exe file included in the 1.2.1 release, included inside "EXE Pack 1.2.1.zip", then ingame go into your controller bindings menu and press DEFAULT. Make sure to also switch to camera relative mode on the options menu if you want that.

I'm assuming you're talking about FMV's when you say cutscenes. To fix it, go into the settings menu from the game launcher and make sure VMR9 is enabled in the graphics menu. If you're using the FMV pack included in the mod, you must install Lav Filters as well.

If you want to get around the Xbox Controller limitations entirely, it's better you follow this guide too.

question for xbox controller users. my guides have been to make the game have tr1 thru 5 style controls (Default scheme of course). would anyone be interested in a guide and a joytokey cfg for more "authentic" ps2-style controls? the only things that wouldn't change are cam reset button and how weapon switching works

basically like. for example, let's use xbox buttons as an equivalent

FUNCTIONS - PS2 - MINE
Action .. - A . - A
Jump .... - B . - X
Roll .... - X . - B
DrawGun . - RB. - Y
Look .... - RT. - LB
Walk .... - LB. - RB
Stealth . - LT. - RT
ResetCam. - R3. - L3 <- can't change
GunsUp... - Up. - R3 + RT <- can't change
GunsDown. - Down- R3 + LT <- can't change

ps2 is random as **** and makes 0 sense but if ppl want it i can provide it? sort of like an "original and reimagined" control choice. the ps2 option will also require a bit less work (just unassigning stealth and look pretty much, vs the new option requiring you to rebind everything)
