Also, not having high-quality sources to encode from is probably half the reason for the large size I guess.
So you mean you essentially want the camera of the tank mode but with the movement of the camera relative mode? Am I understanding that correctly?

I will also look into finding ways to make the FMV's work better in the future in terms of file format and size etc.

The way into the louvre is exactly the same as the retail game unless you've encountered a bug or something. Can you not place the explosives? If that is the case, make sure you have the explosives in your inventory (saying this in case you started this level from TRAODSCU or something).

Hopefully one day there will be a way to import and somehow “merge” this with the game itself.

If I understand correctly he wants something like in Harry Potter 2-3 games on PC. That moving camera automatically adjusts Lara's position so she's always facing the same direction. You can see how it works here:

Yes Caesum! Tank you! Harry Potter movement is the way Camera-Relative Controls should be.

I have currently reached museum and getting frustrated quite a lot not being able to position Lara properly.

EDIT:
Missing textures in the museum vents.
Here is the savegame if anyone wants to take a look. Calling it quits as it's pointless to play like this.

Yeah I get it now, I'll see if this can work better compared to the vanilla game.

If you are playing with a controller, you can push the left stick slightly to make her turn to that direction without running so that may help. If you are playing on keyboard/mouse with cam relative movement then you need to use the walk mode a lot when positioning Lara for jumps.

EDIT: You somehow missed a loading trigger so thats not missing textures. This is my fault though for selecting the wrong option on the latest EXE. To prevent this from happening again you can set the "Remove fade-in and delay on loading (on foot)" option to ON instead of FULL via the patcher from the Misc. menu.

Actually, the default executable in RP v1.2.1 has it as On, not as Full. I have it as On too.

However, the fault might be on my side. I have everything in your patcher enabled. A few more from Nakamichi's one too.

Oh, I get it now! You want Lara's body to follow the camera as you move it around in Camera-relative Controls. This way you can easily rotate in place to adjust her trajectory.

One question I have is, are you playing with keyboard and mouse or a controller? If you lightly push the Left Analog, you can still rotate in place. But it's not possible to rotate in Camera-relative Controls on keyboard and Mouse. Which has been a problem since its implementation, admittedly. We have been recommending keyboard and mouse players to use Tank Controls due to this, but I believe reborninshadow tests with Camera-relative Controls himself. (I'm the only member of the team who regularly games on PC using a controller.)

It looks like for this, the zoning transition broke somehow. This may be related to the "more seamless" transitions between zones enabled by default with the most recent 1.2.1 transitional update EXE. You can shut off the "push forward" aspect of this in the EXE Patcher linked to in the first post of this thread, and it will work fine. Sorry that you encountered this. I can show step-by-step how to enable it, if need be.

Do you have an earlier save to roll back to? I can pass you the saves we use for testing if you don't.

Ah ok

I'm pretty sure the only way this can happen is because of that option being on FULL though (well, or flying through the wall with cheats).
