Default Currently replaying Tomb Raider 1

Every year I replay all the Tomb Raider games from 1-Underworld in any order I have done 2, 3, 4, 5, Angel of Darkness, Legend, Anniversary & Underworld with all Secrets/Rewards/Artifacts & Relics just Tomb Raider 1 to complete.

I am currently on Palace Midas having collected every Secret so far but I have lost motivation to continue with it mainly due to the fact I had to do St Francis Folly 5 times as I struggled getting the 2nd Secret and then lowered the water level which prevented me from getting the 3rd Secret and finally on my 5th attempt I managed to get the 4 Secrets on the level but its a mentally draining level just wish you could save on the PS1 before getting the 2nd Secret.

Tomb Raider 1 is the hardest of the Classics for me as I need to be in the mood to play it and I am regretting doing it but as its part of the series I have to do it just don't remember Greece being such a long section I breezed through Colosseum without any problems at all.

I also love the Gold games Unfinished Business, Golden Mask & Lost Artifact but due to my old laptop's disc drive no longer working and my new one doesn't have a disc drive I can't play them at the moment.

If you want a tip for St. Francis Folly's 2nd Secret, slide down the slope backwards, grab the edge and pull up. As Lara slides off, hold the Jump button and Lara will land in the opening everytime.

EDIT: I assume you are playing the PAL version. If so, it can feel draining to replay levels because the game speed is slower on PAL.

That secret was/is always a pain on the PS because if you fail to get it, which is guaranteed first time, you have to restart the whole level. Not fun particularly as you'll fail it again and again unless you use that technique, which is hardly intuitive.

There should have been a save crystal immediately before the slide because the first room itself is a tough cookie first time through too. I remember getting it all right then simply misjudging a column jump on the way up to the door and killing LC.

Yep live in UK so its the PAL version wish to god the NTSC version had been put on the PlayStation Network as its so much faster.

I actually prefer the PlayStation versions of the Classics more than the PC versions.

I love the Egypt section of Tomb Raider 1 but due to the fact that a lot of levels are really draining is one of the main reasons I prefer Anniversary as its so much better loved that Cistern was merged with Tomb of Tihocan really think it works brilliantly.

Peru, parts of Greece and parts of the Atlantis levels really drag on.
