Hello everyone,
Firstly I hope this isn't the wrong place to place to post this, I've been trying to get Tomb Raider Legend to work on Windows 10. I have the Steam version and I've done most of the fixes listed here. Most notably I've set the game to play at 60hz with Vsync on (to remedy broken physics), enabled extended external video settings, and I used the 'LaraTX' Texture Fixes Pack (which did fix some of the glitches I was having). I also set Next Generation Content to "Off" because it's supposed to be incompatible with LaraTX pack, and I've also set Fullscreen Anti-Aliasing to "Off" because it seems to disable shadows for the normal graphics. After I've set all this up, I still get some texture flickers like on the mountain in the distance, or on some cliffs and stuff like that. Is there anyway to remedy this problem? One thing I did notice when I turned on Next Generation Content, I didn't see that flickering on the mountain in the distance, but I'm wondering what will happen to the game because they said the "LaraTX" pack isn't compatible with Next Gen Content and most people are saying to play the game with normal graphics. I would just like to play and finish this game, so if anyone would be able to help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Once again I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. |

Hi there, this definitely isn't the wrong place to post this don't worry. The flickering textures you're experiencing are a problem with the PC port of the game and not anything you have done wrong. The PC port of the game is based off of the "old-gen" version of the game but very late into development, the developers decided to include the new next-gen models and textures from the Xbox 360 version on the PC port. Unfortunately the PC port was a bit sloppy. What you're seeing with these flickering textures is actually the next-gen textures just layered on top of the old-gen textures and as a result, you'll come across parts of the game where the textures overlap and start glitching out. I hope this helps answer your question
![]() A lot of the issues with textures have been fixed in a mod created by me and a few others over the last 2 years which is still being worked on. The most up to date version that is still being worked on is called OldGen+. If it's something you're interested in you can read about it here, here and here |

Hello,
I've already tried the oldgen+ mod with the skyboxes, but I still experienced that same glitch where the texture on the mountain in the horizon was still flickering. Is it because I resumed from a saved game, should I start a new game with the oldgen+ mod, would that fix the issue? |
