Never saw the appeal of Reddit personally, so glad I avoided that.

---

Was supposed to have a couple of tests done this week, coming to around £250, which I thought was fine. The blood test was today but just before she stuck the needle in me she told me it was £600. Errr wut.

So now I've gotta chase the GP I saw to find out where this £600 has come from. I'll probably also see if I can get the blood test done on the NHS at this rate. But it's more so the fact I was only told when I was sat in the chair. Not good.

That's a hideous price. FYI NHS blood tests are literally pence/pounds in terms of lab fees.

On my sheet for the blood test, it is has these ticked...

FBC & Differential
B12
Folate
Ferritin
TSH
Urea & Electrolytes
Liver Function Tests
Calcium
CRP

No idea what these are, but assuming these all add up to £600. But hopefully my local GP can do these for me instead.

I’d be absolutely furious! I’m pretty sure that’s not allowed.

I hope the blood test is for nothing serious!

Meghan is not royal or aristocratic by any means. It is no coincidence that she was practically exiled back to America.

I disagree about the British royal family. They are for obvious reasons cultured people and must keep a modest and exemplary behaviour. Their job is to represent and manage a whole nation.

Isn't healthcare free in the UK?

Has anyone seen The Crown? I don't know if it's like that in reality, but I can't help but hate these people and be fascinated by them at the same time.

PS: Prince Harry is hot as hell.

My GP and I don't even think the blood test will come back with anything, which makes the £600 even worse lol

Everyone pays for it through tax creating the illusion that it's free, but I go private when I can because it's faster and my local NHS doctors isn't great.

Years ago and only the first and part of the second season. I remember being very impressed by it. One of the most moving scenes for me was when the fragile king celebrated his birthday wearing the flimsy paper crown his children made for him. Beautiful.

Yes, I understand it received some criticism for supposedly "ridiculing" the Royal Family, but I don't feel that's the case. I think the show humanizes them, which is very different from ridiculing them. AFAIK, the Queen liked this show, even though she claimed the facts were exaggerated.

P.S. Prince Harry is hot as a burning oven.
