The next TR game needs a badass action, female antagonist/villain
I am hoping for the next game to have a quintessential female villain who will rival Lara in many areas, and will be a greater threat than the lackluster villains and organisations (I am looking at you Trinity) of the previous games. I don't want to see some cliche backstory in this villainous character and I don't want her to have unfocused goals with a lackluster motivation. Make this character funny, witty, confident, motivated and an "anti" Lara who is a force of nature and a formidable threat to Lara, that she cannot simply bypass this character without putting up some serious fight.

This seems like a great idea. I don't want them to reuse Natla though as she is overdone. The description given in the title seems to almost exactly describe TR's Sophia and that would be a very interesting choice to bring her back with the contrast in morals with a current Lara.

I'd like to see someone that's as skilled as Lara, as the villain. Enough with the high up, organization leader villains like Natla, Sophia, Ana and Dominguez. Give us a more down to earth villain, that Lara can potentially fight.
Given Lara does what she does for the sport, I think a good anti-Lara would be a Nathan Drake type treasure hunter that only does what they do for the money. |

If only they kept Nadija alive...
The ones who've read the comics know what I am talking about... |

I was just thinking about this earlier this week (or last week, can't remember). I would love another female antagonist. Natla was great, Sophia is iconic, and Himiko... was interesting.
I'd love it if she was some sort of rival too, instead of the stereotypical "I'm evil for the lulz and the world will soon be mine" villain. |

I personally don't care about the gender as long as it's well written. I quite liked Nadija from the comics.

Lara definitely needs an equal to fight, not some boring psycho villain, but a rival of some sort. Like Sofia, but Lara was in "I'm not your enemy!" mode and then Sofia faded into the background/ally relationship too fast to do anything,Ana was too sick and weak to actually be a threat to Lara, and Unuratu was another ally character. I want Lara to have someone to bring out her competitive side.
