In my first playthrough few months ago I managed to do the ramp jump without the Nitro.(didn't knew that turrets were destroyable so I couldn't get the second part of nitro modification.)
But it was frustrating since I had to try a lot and avoided getting hit to walls by motorcycle. Did any of you did that too ? |

Hi and welcome to the forum, Yes it can be done occasionally, sort of glitches, but you miss out on completing the level as intended, ie, to get the nitro boost.
There are a few glitches in the level like this that has its advantages, one that come to mind, is the frustrating climbing the ladder while the big baddie hits the hammer and Lara falls to the ground again with the ground shock. The way to avoid this is get into the edge of the ladder and climb there as Lara then does that awkward slow climb method with legs hanging, and she gets to the top of ladder no matter how many times the hammer hits the ground ![]()

Failing to see how any of the stuff you mentioned are considered "glitches"

That's why I said 'sort of glitches' as a get out clause, in case someone said they are not glitches

Hmm.. I disagree. I think that ladder climb method is a legitimate glitch. Core clearly intended the hammer to knock you off the ladder, problem is that hanging climb isn't a ladder specific animation, it's her standard hang so the effect doesn't trigger.
Either they didn't notice during playtesting, or it was too difficult (would have taken too long) to duplicate those animations to different slots for ladder-specific climbing to get it to work properly. If they had applied the effect directly to her normal hang without isolating it like I described above, she would have fallen from every ledge whenever the hammer came down, breaking the game. Sooo they either knew about it or was just an oversight?
Still not a glitch imo, the engine is working as intended. IF they had applied the effect directly to her normal hang (which you say they didn't) and she still wouldn't fall anyway, then it would be a glitch Last edited by Woops; 26-04-19 at 07:18. |

I finished that level with that glitch since that hammer wielding monster wouldn't allow me to climb that ladder.(I discovered it myself.)
Was there actually supposed to be beaten in another way ? |

I think you are supposed to trap the monster in the destroyed building with a lever on the top. (Church?)

Even when I trapped it the monster wouldn't allow me to climb the ladder.
