Which door?
I think Aurimas also mentioned before about the boiler, next to the guard dog.. If you fly a little bit through it, a hand icon will pop up. I wonder why. |

The door on the far right side. Stairs and trash cans can be seen through it

Can you tell what this piece of concept art is all about?
http://www.captain-alban.com/cgi-bin...screens344.jpg That's the first four levels of the game right there. There's the start of the game in the left, the two-paths, the derelict block, the roofs, the fall and finally the door to Margot Carvier's Apartment. Notice the name of the game "Tomb Raider Next Generation". They were calling it that in the early stages of development. Now if they thought of this specific level design/order back in 2000 why did they change Margot's apartment to the Derelict Apartment Block (according to the blood stained note that Von Croy gives to Lara) and then back to it's initial place? I thought they moved her apartment to a farther place to expand the levels and such but it seems the current location of her apartment had been planned all along. Once again it seems like Core Design couldn't make up their minds. They kept changing everything. |

My theory:
1: Start of Parisian Backstreets level. 2: http://postimg.org/image/e1iyzr2pp/ 3: http://s23.postimg.org/w5pwh13uy/hiding_place.jpg 4: Derelict apartment level. 5: Industrial rooftops level. 6: Mme Carvier apartment. I think that Carviers apartment was never meant to be in Derelict apartment block. The red decoration they used in the early stages of her level, is also used in Von Croy Apartment level. Maybe they used it for every apartment level but changed it for Carvier, because otherwise it would look too much alike the other levels. |

That seems pretty spot-on except for three. The screenshot doesn't at all look like what's in the drawing.

If the third is about that first alternative route after starting location then it's definitely not a hiding place. It's an alternative end, a trapdoor to Derelict Apartment Block's basement.
