I don't really know what you're referring to, for me "golden age" is when a game or set of games into a franchise are considered masterpieces among its fans, and are etched into their memories.
If we want to talk about a golden age, I think it should be both about critical and commercial success. In that way, maybe just TR1 and TR2. We can extend to TR4 but there is some degree of lassitude at that time.
As much as controversial TR2013 and Rise are to the fandom, they sold well and are well regarded elsewhere, so I can admit it could be a silver age. Maybe we can extend to Shadow too, but it is the exact same reason as TR3/TR4.

The people have spoken! And I hereby announce that Ellioft's "Renascence Era" is the official definition for this thread from now on.

For sure. It brought TR back on the map for casual gamers and Rise is, and likely will always be, the most profitable game in the franchise. The exclusivity deal definitely damaged the momentum TR got with 2013, but from CD's perspective... I really can't blame them. Thanks to Microsoft's money they managed to create a AAA game that sold millions on a indie/AA budget.
