Does anyone think we'll get new zombie models, or will they all be recycled from RE2R? In the trailer I see the Remake 2 ones.

I want these cute zombie girls back

Don't forget the fat turbo zombies.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more zombie designs in this game as well. The OG RE3 had a wide variety of zombie designs, and none of them were reused from the previous 2 games. In fact, they probably had more zombie designs than the Outbreak series. I'm surprised there were no Umbrella Mercenary zombies though in the original RE3. Would be nice to see some in the remake.

I believe they were able to have so many because they cut the quality in half.

This. RE 1.5 did the same thing - to be honest though RE3 had some good textures on them.. so the effect wasn't too bad

Really? never knew that + you couldn't really tell (the low resolution).
I knew they did it with 1.5.

I always hated the male zombies in RE3, for the longest time I thought they were burnt faced and bald headed.
When I analysed them in detail through Garry's Mod I found they had hair

Weird how badly decomposed those zombies look considering they would have not long turned.
Then in RE2 which is set after events of RE3 the zombies look the way you'd expect them, like they've turned recently.

Yep!

In “computer math,” when your texture resolution is halved, it’s technically quartered. In RE3’s case, what used to be one zombie is now four. This is also used in conjunction with a reduced polycount. This is how the game could easily have 12 zombies on screen at once

Monitors back then weren’t the best and weren’t as clear, so the video quality and the player’s imagination for the missing video information easier on the eyes.

Just imagine how many zombies would fit on screen if they made a low poly RE game today. I'd love that, It would be super quick to make too

I've been thinking about the surviving citizens in RE3R.
Something tells me they are (I wish they are not) scripted moments like RE6.
I think it would be cool if we had opportunities to save them from being eaten or even interact with them.
Example: You have a moment where a survivor/s asks Jill "Can I come with you?" It would not be a side mission, they'd tag along until a safe room and say "Thank you I'll be okay here" then they leave.
But it's up to us a player to keep them alive/safe while they tag along. Or maybe not, and we let the zombies eat them.
The event could be as simple as passing a survivor being attacked and shooting the zombie.
It could be one of the records in game and an achievement. Something like 'Saved 10 survivors from zombie attack'. I don't know, that's just been on my mind.

This would be such a nice feature!
From the little gameplay video it looked like a scripted sequence but I hope it looked like that just because it was at the beginning of the game.
