I stayed over at a mates house and we started watching Shrek at 11:58 pm. This was so Shrek would slam open the outhouse door at exactly 12:00 am.

It was glorious.

That's so epic. 100% the best way to start the new year.

I got horrendously drunk at a burlesque ball here in Stockholm. It didn't feel very much like ringing in the new year, but I also do not remember much of the evening at this point, so I guess it doesn't matter...

I stayed at home and had a couple of beers and watched some of a boring fireworks display from my bedroom that I stopped watching after 4 minutes fireworks from previous years have been better plus the aforementioned fireworks display started 4 and a half hours early whereas in previous years it's always been closer to midnight before the fireworks started.

It might make sense for people that have children for there to be an early fireworks display so that their kids can see them IMO they should have had two fireworks displays one for the kids and one closer to midnight for the new year.

Pity it's too big for the forum. Needs to be no more than 500kb. Feel free to repost a smaller sized version.

Edit: HarleyCroft, sorry but the gif is still over 1MB.

I did the very same thing at my local lounge which is named after a level in Tomb Raider. It was a bloody phenomenal New Years event, but I feel embarrassed for singing some 5ive songs to a plant, still a great night though.
