They likely won't make any comments about it until the sale is finalized. All we know is that things are operating as business as usual. Reloaded is still on track to be released.

Look like really bad static or animating objects to me - the rounded walls and the steps. You can tell by how badly they react/don't react to the dynamic light given off by Lara's flare - it doesn't quite matchup to how the light affects the walls created by the room geometry.
