Updated

More from my texture replacement project. I have replaced so far:
  • The gravel pathways
  • The bricked exterior of the manor
  • The hedges
  • The windows. I have also replaced the big window with a coloured glass one.

I hope you all like the windows! Took me 3 hrs to do all the windows and resize etc.

I think that the textures are stunning! I will definitely use them in my mansion for The Croft Curse.

Does anyone have a suggestion for the colour of the doors? Size of doors? Type of doors? etc?

I'm thinking dark brown but i'm not sure. I also don't know whether to keep it as it is with a small door, or create two big doors

If you're talking about the main entrance, I'd go for the big double doors.

Your work so far is brilliant

Hello everyone

Just an update...

This project is still going on, but the TRIII Manor textures still aren't finished. At least I released the bricks and windows!

I recently posted this in the Screenshot showcase:

Basically, the first texture is the original 64x64 texture from the Cold War TGA. I converted my project to v50 from v49 in NGLE. The second texture was created in 128x128. Obviously its horrible pixelated.

Sometimes its easier to just enlarge and enhance a texture rather than remake from scratch. The last texture shown is the original 64x64 one enlarged and then enhanced by me to retain detail. It looks a bit different from the original but that's expected.

What do you think?
I was thinking I could apply this to enlarging and enhancing old texture TGA's such as Venice... where the textures are really hard to recreate. Do you think this could be useful?
