Considering how Ghost in the shell (Which was a major inspiration for The Matrix, So much so they showed footage of it in the pitch for the movie.) was butchered by it's remake from what I heard, I don't have hopes for this.

You really should disregard what the internet said about GitS and watch it yourself because it was a pretty fantastic movie.

Not internet, I talked to a friend of mine who loved the original movie and he wasnt a big fan.

Still, give it a try. I love the original and I love the remake, they tell different stories.

And if anyone actually wants to see a continuation of The Matrix movies just watch the cutscenes from The Matrix Online on YouTube. It picked up where Revelations left of and was overseen by The Wachowskis.

It also ended unexpectedly, and kind of left quite a few threads unresolved (like Smith's 'all-powerful new form')
